September is here, and we can’t wait to grow together in Community Kids! 🍂✨

Faith isn't just an event—it's woven throughout our daily lives, and this month we’re laying a foundation of biblical truth together.
Here’s a sneak peek at what your kids will be discovering all month long:
Sept 6 – Neighborhood Gathering: We’re bringing church home! Grab a Host Box, invite friends, and tune in together online. 🏡
Sept 13 – MADE (Genesis 1-2): Discovering how God created the world and breathed unique life into you. 💨🎨
Sept 20 – THE FALL (Genesis 3): Learning about God’s mercy and loving protection, even when things go wrong. 🛡️ (Bonus: Don't miss the FMSC Color Run on Sept 18!) 🌈
Sept 27 – TOWER OF BABEL (Genesis 11:1-9): Seeing why putting God first keeps us safe and protected. 🧱

FATHERS & SONS RETREAT 🎣🏕️

Dads, this weekend is all about quality time, adventure, and making memories with your son! ❤️

Join us September 24–27 for a fun-filled Father & Son Retreat designed for dads and their sons ages 6–13.

🎣 Fishing
🥾 Hiking
🏕️ Outdoor adventures
🍽️ All meals included
🛏️ Lodging included
🎯 Plenty of fun activities!

💰 Cost:
• $500 per father + son combo
• $100 for each additional son

🚌 We’ll be traveling together on the Restore bus, leaving from the GBCC parking lot at 5:00 PM.

Whether you're fishing, exploring, laughing around the campfire, or simply spending uninterrupted time together, this is a weekend your son will remember for years to come.

ATTENTION!!! Our Sixth and LAST Passport Park Play Date is TOMORROW!! 🌞🌳

Join us on Thursday, August 27th at 9:30 AM at Meadowbrook Park for a morning of fun, friendship, and play!

This is the last of many park play dates that has happened throughout the summer as part of our Summer Passport's. Each time your child attends a passport event, Sunday service, or dives into their Bible, they'll receive a stamp in their passports and earn a ticket toward our three fun prizes!

Come join us! We can't wait to spend time with you and your family one more time this summer!

🛡️ Here’s what we learned on Sunday in Community Kids!
We have a Shepherd who loves us, guides us, and keeps us safe! Today, kids learned that no matter what we go through, God’s care and protection are always with us.

💬 Carry on the Conversation Parents:

Ask your child: "How have you experienced God’s care or protection for you or our family lately?"

"Drop a 🐑 in the comments if your kiddo came home singing the Psalm 23 song today!"

Before the world tries to tell your child who they should be, you have the privilege of telling them who God says they are! ✨

In Community Kids, we constantly remind our littles that they are deeply loved, wonderfully made, and created with a purpose. When kids know their identity in Christ, it changes how they view themselves and how they treat others as they grow.

💬 3 Truths to Speak Over Your Kids This Week:
"You are loved by God no matter what."
"God made you unique and special on purpose."
"You have the power to make wise, loving choices because God’s Spirit is with you!"

💡 Try this: Say these out loud together in front of the bathroom mirror while brushing teeth this week! 🪞🪥

💛 Here’s what we learned on Sunday in Community Kids!

Last week, kids learned that God is our safe space. Psalms of lament show us that it's okay to bring our hurt, sadness, and anger straight to God because He loves us and listens to us!

💬 Carry on the Conversation Parents:
Ask your child: "When was a time you felt really sad or angry? Did you know you can talk to God about those big feelings?"

🙈 Missed out? We had such a meaningful morning learning how much God cares about our hearts. Don't let your kids miss out on next week's lesson—we're saving a spot just for them! 🪑✨

Raising littles can feel like a blur of tied shoes, wiped noses, and endless snack requests 🍎. The good news? God designed faith-building to happen right in the middle of that ordinary chaos! You don't need extra hours in your day—just invite Jesus into the routines you’re already doing:

🚗 On the Road: Name 3 things out the window that God made!
🍽️ At the Table: Ask, "What made you smile today, and what was tricky?" (Then talk about how God is with us in both!)
🌙 At Bedtime: Pray a simple blessing over them: "May you know how much God loves you tonight."
