Holy God, we lift up this dear Emmaus couple. They were instrumental in leadership and support for FVWTE for many years! God, we give thanks for all you have and are doing in their lives. In Jesus' name, hear our prayers for continued restoration & healing.

Prayer Request from our dear FVWTE #3 - Art Weinert & Judi Weinert #4. See their post below:

A quick update on Art. Please share if anyone asks. After 14 days in the hospital we finally have Art home. He has a double pick line in for the two antibiotics he requires. He will have IV drips so Heidi and I were trained before leaving the hospital. This will continue for 6-8 weeks. If he shows positive progress he will switch to oral meds for got the next year. He will see his infectious disease doctor once a week. They cautioned us that this is still life threatening as there are not many medications for this. We have to stop it now before the infection moves to his heart.
He has been treated by so many different doctors including urologists, neurosurgeons, and hospitalists who were not in agreement as to what was happening to Art. They finally called in the lead infectious disease doctor. He believes Art has an infection on his spinal cord. Yesterday they did a needle draw and they now believe it is septic arthritis of the facet joint in his spine. They told us this is an incredibly rare infection. They believe it was introduced into his blood during a UTI following his prostate surgery. I think Art may have been jealous of all the attention I had been getting. Two days earlier I had just completed the latest round of 28 radiation treatments.🥴 Megan, Heidi, Jody, and Artie have been incredibly supportive of both Art and me.
Especially as we are also in the middle of moving north from Frankfort. Not a planned move but a God moment😉 A wonderful country home opened up for us through Heidi’s employer in Owenton where we have land. His 92 year old aunt and uncle have a home close to them that became available. It’s only 4 miles from Artie’s school and Heidi’s work. Owenton is about halfway between Frankfort and Cincinnati on hwy 127.

The human body is not a random collection of parts. It is an integrated, self-repairing, information-driven system more advanced than any machine humanity has ever built. The brain processes electrical signals with precision beyond our fastest computers. The heart beats over 100,000 times a day without conscious command. The immune system identifies, targets, and eliminates microscopic threats with astonishing accuracy. This is not chaos. This is coordination.

Scripture told us the truth long before modern anatomy textbooks existed.
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” Psalm 139:14.
That is not poetic exaggeration. It is biological reality. Every cell carries coded information in DNA. Information always comes from a mind. Order does not rise from disorder without guidance. Complex systems do not assemble themselves without direction.

The Bible begins with the foundation that makes sense of what we observe.
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” Genesis 1:1.
And it goes further. “By him all things consist” Colossians 1:17. That means not only created, but upheld. Sustained. Held together in consistent order.

To look at the human body and claim it has no designer is not humility. It is a refusal to follow the evidence to its source. The design points to a Designer. The life points to the Life-giver.

The most advanced machine on earth is not the product of blind forces. It is the craftsmanship of a Creator.

Update. I (Don) have completed a successful surgery on my broken Lt. femur. Thank for your prayers & concerns. One day, slip on Black Ice, one day surgery and healing. Today Therapy and rehab planning. Modern medicine, what a marvel! Family & friends are supporting me in visits, calls, and help. I am blessed. Now to focus on return to active mobility! First steps taken. Homeward bound in 1-2 days. Thank you for all the prayers!

Active, farmer-Don Genrich (FVWTE #7) slipped on Black Ice this afternoon. He is at University Hospital, Madison, awaiting surgery...he's on a list...there are others here with Black Ice fx(s). Hold him in prayers. Pray for surgery slot tomorrow, pray for room in hospital as we wait. Pray for successful rehab.

Jon Gobrecht's (FVWTE #21) mother went to be with the LORD on the LORD's Day (November 16th). Our prayers and Sympathies are with Jon, wife Dawn (FVWTE #22?) and family, especially Jon's father.

Our time in this world is in God's hands. Let us remember to focus on what is important as we journey in our faith.

Lenora Chery (FVWTE) would like to share some information regarding Ashhen Fecht, a Pilgrim on the most recent Emmaus Women's Walk (FVWTE #40) in May. She was pregnant at the time of her walk, and Lenora Cherry is sharing the wonderful news of a healthy baby boy. Ashhen and her husband, PJ, welcomed Grant Samuel Fecht on October 9th, and he weighed in at 10 lb 3 oz, 22" long. He is a beautiful blessing from God, our Creator of all things.

She also has some sad news to share. On October 23rd, Ashhen's father passed away in an automobile accident on his way home from Walmart in Galena, Illinois. Please lift Ashhen, PJ, her mother Tatyiana, and the children up in prayer during this time for healing, peace and understanding. Lenora Cherry (FVWTE)

Father, God, we celebrate Your gracious gift of new life of Grant Samuel. Thank you LORD for your love and mercies to us, sinners in need of a Savior.

Spirit of compassion and strength, we ask for Your presence in the midst of heartache and grief. You know all things, You see all things. We trust You, Creator/God, in what we do not understand. Jesus, You taught us that on this earth we will have sorrow and pain, but You promised to receive all who believe in You and Your saving grace. Thank you for the gift of life in Ashley's father. Into Your hands we entrust his soul. Help the family and friends who grieve to find Your peace, a peace that passes all understanding. In Jesus's name we pray. Amen
