St. Bernard Parish

St. Bernard Parish "We desire to build a community based on forgiveness, caring, reaching out to one another, personal prayer and sacramental worship." St. Fr. Mark has been at St.

Bernard Parish was established July 12, 1956. Today we are blessed to have Fr. Mark Vander Steeg as our pastor. Bernard since July 3, 2012. He is known for his thoughtful and relevant sermons which inspire both adult and youth alike. Mark also writes a regular column for the Green Bay Diocese newspaper The Compass. We gather as community to celebrate our faith through uplifting mass celebrations,

vast amounts of outreach ministries, a wonderful Catholic grammar school, well thought out and interesting adult education opportunities, a growing and energetic youth ministry and finally, in parish get-togethers where we can just celebrate being together! We welcome the opportunity to welcome you to our parish community. Come visit us for one of our mass celebrations or just stop in the Parish Center to speak to a priest or one of our cheerful staff members.

Hearts & Soles for Housing June 18, 2026 | 5:00–7:00 PM

Lace up your sneakers, grab your friends and family, and bring the dog! Heart & Soles for Housing is a community event you won’t want to miss this summer.

On June 18 at the Nelson Family Pavilion in Voyageur Park, Freedom House Ministries is hosting a 1.5-mile community walk to raise awareness and support for families experiencing homelessness in our community. Along the way, you'll find food trucks, family-friendly games and activities, raffle baskets, and opportunities to learn about the real challenges facing families, as well as the positive difference you can make.

Every step matters! When our community walks together, we're sending a message that no family has to face homelessness alone. Whether you're a longtime Freedom House supporter or just learning about our work for the first time, there's a place for you on this walk.

Tickets are FREE!

All we ask is that you show up, bring your community, and consider making a donation to help families find the stability they deserve. Together, our steps add up to something powerful.

Donations are welcomed and deeply appreciated.
