This week at CRE8...

Our original Women of the Word series continues with one of the most powerful encounters in Scripture:
The Samaritan woman at the well.

A woman overlooked by culture.
Defined by shame.
Avoided by religious people.
And yet Jesus chose to move toward her.

We’ll also hear a powerful real-life testimony of grace and redemption that echoes the heart of this story in an unforgettable way.

6pm
Come as you are.

Church hurt doesn’t always make you stop believing in God.

Sometimes it just makes you wonder if you still belong.

Amanda knows that feeling.

As a teenager, she carried shame, disappointment, and the weight of feeling disqualified.

But over time, she began discovering something different:
that God’s love was never based on performance,
perfection,
or having it all together.

This Sunday, Amanda will be sharing part of her story...
how grace slowly rebuilt what shame tried to tear down.

If you’ve ever felt like your past,
your mistakes,
or your failures
have become your identity…

this message is for you.

Last year we started our youth group and we are so excited to have our first graduating class in 2026!

Zoe is still considering her options which range from forensic science to pottery.
Madyson will be headed off to UW-Stevens Point to major in Special Education.
Ali will be headed back to her home in Milan, Italy to continue her studies.
Sophie will be headed to NWTC, then planning to continue at UW-Whitewater.
Fernando will continue his education at Syble Hopp school in De Pere.

Congrats to our seniors - we are so proud of you all!

Join us Sunday for a special prayer of blessing at the service by our youth pastor Justin as we recognize their hard work.

Does CRE8 church meet on Sundays only?

Nope.
Nada.
Nuh-uh.

Church meets every day.
How?

Well, a couple days ago we asked for prayer requests. And we had a team of people both in town and out of town on vacation praying for each prayer request. Yes, we responded in the posts; but the prayers didn’t end there.
That’s the church meeting.

And the other day one of our dear attendees put out a request asking for help to have a small couch delivered (usually those kinds of asks are met with crickets!).
But a team of people who wish to remain anonymous organically jumped in and made it happen.
This is the church meeting.

CRR8 church meets every day, everywhere, all the time.

The church meets to pray.
The church meets to help.
The church meets to deliver.
The church meets to share.
The church meets to grow.

The church meets needs, public and private.

We would love to welcome you into this growing community of people learning, loving, rebuilding and meeting all the time.

Prayer.

It matters for our growth and trust in God and one another.
We have a team committed to praying for you and your prayer requests.
Please share them below.
And let's stand with each other, shoulder to shoulder and arm in arm.

Do you ever get tired of waiting? Yeah, us too!

What about when you sense God has given you a promise for something in the future…and it’s not happening? That’s usually when the desire to step in and “help” (a/k/a control) starts to rise.

This week at CRE8, we’re continuing our “Women of the Word” series with the story of Sarai and Hagar — two women caught in weariness, pain, jealousy, pressure and suffering.

And in the middle of all that brokenness, we meet the God who sees.

If you’ve ever wondered where God is in the waiting…
If you’ve ever tried to force an outcome because His timing felt too slow…
Or if you’ve ever felt unseen in your pain..,

This would be a great week to come visit CRE8.

Not everyone walks into church feeling confident.

It takes courage just to walk through the doors.
Hesitations.
Past experiences.
Uncertainty.

Becky found a place where those things didn’t make her feel out of place.

She says "I really appreciate how each sermon is consistently relatable. The human experience is messy, painful, imperfect and beautiful. CRE8 is somehow able to touch on all of that and bring it back to the love of Jesus."

This is where faith grows honestly —
without pressure to pretend.

The chapter we skipped.

This week, we tie back into the Joseph story… and the chapter we skipped.

We recently spent three weeks unpacking the story of Joseph, and it was outstanding. But right in the middle of Joseph’s story sits a chapter of Genesis that most people avoid, overlook, or skip entirely.

This week, we’re going back to it — and diving in head first.

That chapter becomes the launching point for our brand-new series:
“Women of the Word.”

Women of the Word is a multi-week theological mirror reflecting human failure, identity, redemption, and calling.
These are not sentimental Bible biographies.
They are:
honest…
psychologically aware…
culturally grounded…
redemption-centered…
universally relatable…
deeply human stories.

Join us as we explore the complex story of Tamar — and maybe discover that her world isn’t as distant from ours as we think. Because these stories are not just meant to be studied.

They’re meant to reflect us…
challenge us…
and ultimately lead us toward God’s redemption!

Join us for Week One of our new original series:
“Women of the Word.”

The work people don't see being done.

There are volunteers who work just as hard when the facilities are vacant as those who do when the seats are full.

Their work is often unseen and taken for granted. The workers who commit to caring for the details often prefer the spotlight not be shined on them; and yet what they do has so much value both to our community and the Kingdom.

At CRE8 many of our teams and leaders are visible, welcoming, guiding, baking, serving, leading, and connecting week in and week out.
But there are also many volunteers on a team called, "Operations" that both maintain and beautify the spaces we get to share with one another.

Our Operations team is led by Jessica Brunner.
CRE8 is the first church she's ever been rooted in, and she says, "everything I know about God I learned here!"
In her professional life, she also does....operations! Since we launched in 2024, Jess has been there (she showed up week 2 and has been faithful since!)

And long before she was ever called a team leader she was doing the work. On a Tuesday night after an Easter brunch she'd ask, 'hey can I get a key to go clean the church?'

As we continue to add more seating she requests, "could I get in and clean the chairs and couches to make sure they are clean for Sunday?"

She's never asked for recognition, or a title. She just leads. So last month when we had a team leaders meeting, it was suggested to invite Jessica. And her response to the invitation? "Why would I come? I'm not a leader."

Oh yes, yes you are!

And so her team became official -- operations. And that team is growing -- now over 10 people willing to step in, help out, and serve. Thank you Jess, and thank you Operations Team!

But it's not just operations.

Because in year one we re-purposed a flower box that sits outside the entry way. Our neighbors both in the building and in the apartments across the parking lot at the Fort frequently comment about how much they appreciate the care and beauty of the seasonal flowers and decor, year round.

That detail is curated by two ladies who have also been with us since our launch. They serve in many ways people don't see --yet we all get to appreciate! Mel Wangerin and Chris Wigman continue to inspire us and our neighbors with their creativity in design.
Every season is something new, and it's always fantastic.

And the best part? They don't run to the local flower shop and plant just any flowers. They design it by repurposing items...and have even been to the dump to find exactly what they need! That's the gospel message being preached through the flower box!

Something discarded that seemed to have lost its value was repurposed and now is an integral part of offering hope and beauty to the world around it!

Thank you so much to Mel, Chris, Jess, everyone on the operations team -- and all the people dedicated to offering their time, talent and treasure to make this growing community what it is.

We love you!

This week’s message, “Because of Me?” explores the sobering reality that our lives are speaking — whether we realize it or not.

What are people believing because of the way we live?
What do our words, attitudes, and actions leave behind in others?
And are we pointing people toward ourselves…or toward something greater?

This Mother’s Day, whether you’re celebrating, grieving, surviving, or somewhere in between…you are welcome here.
