John's Ministries, a non-profit organization whose mission is to honor the dignity, restore hope and create lasting change for those experiencing homelessness or housing instability in the Green Bay community. Like St. John's Ministries,

The Gateway Collective is founded and rooted in Christian values. And while our focus will be different, both organizations will seek to tackle housing instability from different angles. Together, we are stronger.

In the days leading up to Christmas, we wanted to take some time to highlight some amazing tenant stories of transformation!

Stories like Emily's are why we do what we do! We are so thankful she chose to call City Center Lofts home! For our tenant Emily, being at City Center Lofts has made her life better. "Since moving into this building, I feel like I've become a better version of myself. I found neighbors who genuinely care and lift each other up. Sometimes it's just a simple 'hi, how are you?' in passing. Other times it's a fun game of cards and getting to know each other. My kids have other kids to play with, filling the rooms with laughter I didn't realize I was missing."

She even took some time to brag on our amazing community resource advocate Eugene! 😉 "This man goes above and beyond for everyone here. He's the one who lends a hand when you move in, fixes broken doors like he did mine, brings this high energy and positivity that's honestly contagious. He's a listening ear, a friend you can have inside jokes with, a mentor, and someone my kids love to look for and give big hugs to. He doesn't get nearly enough praise for the impact he has on the people who live here."

This is truly what we are all about at Gateway Collective! Eugene works so hard to create a community where our tenants feel cared for and seen. He does an amazing job! A couple of weeks ago, our community resource advocate put on a fun event for our tenants called “Brats & Socks!” Our tenants at City Center Lofts were able to come together for a free meal and grab some cozy socks to stay warm this winter season! These events are a great way for tenants to stay connected with their neighbors and meet new friends as well! ☺️

We provide 72 units of mixed-use, multifamily housing through our City Center Lofts program, designed to serve the local workforce (those earning 50-120% AMI). But it's more than just housing-we offer wraparound services that also empower families to increase their economic mobility and prepare for homeownership. At Gateway, our mission is to empower working families in our community to break the cycle of housing instability by providing proactive, upstream solutions BEFORE a crisis strikes!! Meet another one of Gateway Collective's board members! This is Antonio! Antonio said he decided to get involved with The Gateway Collective "because I believe in their mission of creating opportunities and building connections that strengthen our community." Joining the board has given him the chance to both support Gateway's mission and be "hands-on in making a meaningful impact." Here at City Center Lofts, we are all about community connections! Our community resource advocate Eugene works hard to connect with our tenants and create a neighborhood where individuals can build more of a community together. 😊

Antonio has loved working with a group of individuals who are passionate, committed, and want to see the community flourish! "Every conversation and project bring new ideas, collaboration, and real change - it's rewarding to know our efforts directly touch lives." Our team at Gateway Collective is so thankful for the efforts of Antonio and other board members that are working hard towards our mission.
