This week we took the kids into Acts 10! We read about Peter and his vision. We learned that God sent Peter to Cornelius' house and we learned why!

This week, ask your kids if they think God has a special plan for them to use their gifts in the church, at home and at school. Ask them how they are able to have help finding those gifts (hint: through prayer and scripture)

Bring yourselves into your conversations with your children. Tell them how you were able to find your spiritual gift and how! If you are still wondering where you best fit yourself, spend some time on your own in prayer and listening to God speak to you. Each one of us has a gift from God, "One body, many parts!" All of us belong in this as planned!

The Bible says if we ask, we shall receive. If we seek, we will find. So, ask God to help each member of your family to uncover the spiritual gifts God has given them.

Good Afternoon My Friends!

To continue our You've Got Talent series, we took the kids into Acts 13 and learned about Paul and Barnabus. How they were friends and how they were gifted as Leaders. How they taught others of Jesus and what that looks like for us today.

The children learned that some people are gifted to preach and teach and lead others. God wants leaders to lead and teachers to teach so others can draw closer to one another and especially to the Lord. David wrote that the Bible is a lamp for our feet and a light for our path. People who have the spiritual gift of teaching, preaching and leading are the people God has chosen to carry that light. These leaders help us to understand the word of God. They show us who Jesus is and how we can receive Him as our Saviour. They lead us as we grow deeper in our faith and they can even help guide us to discovering our own gifts so we can serve better. (Remember last week, One Body, Many Parts)

We are so thankful for our teachers, our Pastors and our leaders that we have in our own church and we continue to pray for them and even our future leaders who might be among us today. God gives such important gifts and it's our job to bring them together as ONE!

This week, get engaged with your kiddos! Ask them about their lesson and what was so special about Paul and Barnabas. Ask about what they did and who they got their gift from!

They kids were given their challenge cards and this week should be interesting. We asked the kids to challenge themselves and teach their parents what they learned in their lesson and they even made popsicle stick Paul and Barnabas figures to help remind them of their Bible lesson!

GOOD MORNING KIDS XTREME FRIENDS!!!

Come and join us at 9am or 10:45am today for the start of our You've Got Talent series.

This first week we will be talking to the children in each classroom about how our bodies are made up of many unique parts that serve very different functions. These many parts work together as a whole to help us eat, sleep, play, learn and just enjoy life. We will be tying this in to our church. The church is like a body in that it is made up of many uniquely gifted people who are meant to come together and serve God.
We will be reading through 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 and how Paul explains spiritual gifts. God has given us spiritual gifts so we can serve Him in the body of Christ. Each one of us, including our children have special gifts and what better time to start praying and reading scripture to try and find which gift is meant for us to better serve!

Our memory verse for the next 8 weeks is 1 Corinthians 12:12
"There is one body, but it has many parts. But all its many parts make up one body. It is the same with Christ."

We are continuing our challenge cards for our kiddos as well. This week their challenge with be to use only ONE hand to start and complete a chore at home. If they bring their challenge card back signed by their "Talent Judge" (parent/guardian) each week, their card will go into a big prize raffle and at the end of the series, we will draw 3 names for 3 big prizes!!!!!

We can't wait to see you all today!

Parents and Kids Xtreme Friends!!!

We’ve come to the end of our 40-Day Challenge and Days 36-40 are all about praising God.
This week, find opportunities for you and your child to worship God by:
Playing praise and worship songs, Taking a walk in nature and talking about God’s amazing creation, and sharing a few praises of good things God has done in your life with you and your child.
The more we put our focus on God, the less we focus on distractions that can sometimes become the source of our worship.

This week's lesson we learned about Paul and Silas and how they praised God while in jail. Instead of showing fear, Paul and Silas trusted God and the fact He would be there even through the hard times. Because of this, their lights shined bright. Even to the jailer.

This week, remind your child to never stop PRAYING. Never stop READING your bibles. Continue to SERVE others like Christ served. GIVE, even when we don't have much. SHARE Jesus with others and remember to PRAISE God for everything He has given us and everything He has done in our lives. Just because we are at the end of our series, does not mean we stop doing any of these things. We are supposed to walk in obedience to God, we are to stay connected to God and we can't do any of it, if we stop!

Keep going my friends! You're doing amazing :)

Hello Kids Xtreme Friends! Happy Monday Morning 😁
Are you ready for your challenge this week? Yesterday we read about The Sheep and The Goats (found in Matthew 25:31-46).

The goats in the story were people who did not want to follow Jesus. They wanted to do their own thing and they lived in sin. These people didn’t have changed hearts and they lived
selfishly. They might do nice things for other people sometimes, but they do it to look good or for all the wrong reasons. This is not a changed heart at all and we don't get into Heaven just by doing good things.

The sheep are different. They have admitted their sin, asked for forgiveness, and followed Jesus. They’re hearts have been changed for the good and they truly care for one another.
They help those in need. They show compassion and encourage other people. They serve
because they have the love of Jesus in their hearts. The sheep SHINE!

When we accept Jesus into our hearts, we are saying, "Come into my life! Change me! Fill me with your Holy Spirit. I will follow your path for my life and stop choosing my own!"

When we choose to be a sheep and we shine for others, we are serving. We aren't serving just the people we are helping, but we are serving Jesus as well. Jesus tells us in Matthew 25:40 that "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me too."

This week, we are SERVING others. All week long, our challenge is to serve at least one person a day. Whether it be our brothers or sisters, teachers, friends or even our parents... serve at least one person a day. I still want you to be praying like we learned in our 1st week and I want you to stay reading like we did last week, NEVER stop praying or reading your Bible... but this week, I want you to practice serving, just like Jesus did.

Week 2 of our 6 week (40 Day Challenge series)!

This week the kids were given a challenge to read or have someone read a chapter in the book of John each day.
Our kiddos learned that we grow closer to God when we commit ourselves to reading and hearing God's word.

Our lesson this week was "The Temptation of Jesus," found in Matthew 4:1-11
When Christ was tempted by Satan in the desert, He was able to remain strong using scripture. Jesus knew God's word so well that when Satan tried to trick Him, He was able to recall by memory what God's word said. Even as adults, when we continue to read and study God's word, we begin to remember too. This helps us in times of temptation and difficult situations. God gives us the wisdom to know what to do. This is because, the Word is a powerful weapon when we invest our time in it. Plus... it's obedience!

Today, ask your children if they've been completing their challenge by reading chapters the Book of John. Jump in with them and start reading it yourself. You can ask your child, "what makes God's word valuable to them," or "why can't Satan win against the word of God?" Hint: Because Satan is a liar!

We want our children to grow closer to God in every way! You as parents are vital to this mission. "Train a child up in the way he should go and they will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
Grow with your child. Read and study with your kiddo and pray with them.

Reading our Bibles every day is life changing, truly! Grab your Bible and encourage your children to read, maybe even takes notes and just love Jesus!

Remember, all children who bring back their yellow challenge card each week signed by a parent, will receive a prize for completing their challenge. The children who complete all of our challenges at the end of our series get put into a prize drawing for a Mega Prize!!!

Love you All!
