Welcome to Free Union Vienna (FUV) United Methodist Church (UMC), nestled in the Great Meadows community of Northwest New Jersey. We are thrilled that you are visiting our page! We worship on Sundays @ 10:00am at the 3 Marble Hill Road (Great Meadows) sanctuary, which is approximately 10 minutes from the center of Hackettstown, NJ. You can expect an energetic and thoughtful worship which
includes traditional hymns as well as special contemporary musical offerings plus prayer, fellowship and an engaging message that seeks to engage the scripture alongside of our life experiences in the midst of our current cultural context. We are working on and you can expect additional elements of contemporary music as well in the near future. Across from our sanctuary is our Community Hall where we gather, for those interested, after worship, to extend the sharing of life that begins in worship. Our Route 46 sanctuary (Vienna) (roughly 5 minutes from the center of Hackettstown) will be used for special community events, such as the “Lights for Liberty” prayer vigil we held on Friday, July 12th. Also, just a short stroll from the Route 46 sanctuary is our Community Center at Route 46 which houses our Food Pantry (open on Mondays between 2-4 to assist persons in need). Our aim is to be an open and inviting community in which we welcome the full participation of all interested in sharing life, understanding that the heart of the Gospel (aka Good News) is GRACE. That grace was manifest in a new and powerful way in the person of Jesus whom, by our reading of the scripture, only took exception to those who would exclude others from that same grace. As a result, we, rooted in the life and death and resurrection of this Jesus, are in the business of grace and inclusion! Our pastor is Anthony Pami, who has joined FUV UMC after nearly 15+ years of ministry experience, centered on worship leading/preaching, community building, youth ministry and more. Anthony earned his M-DIV (Master of Divinity) from Drew Theological Seminary. He lives with his wife Cheryl and their three children in nearby Port Murray, NJ.
