REVEALING TRUE COLORS
"...brevity is the soul of wit (WS)."..some say brevity is the essence of intelligence...so that's the problem!

Trying to determine whether appearal be
black or navy in artifical light..can be trying.
So close till we step into non-artificial light...and then....What was I thinking??

CHARISMA...1700s a free divine gift...1930s ...lost divinity... became..personal charm, magnetism, and appeal that easily attracts, inspires, and influences other people.
Charasmatics...a spiritual movement.
Charasmatic...talent, beauty, and ability to influence people....easily.

Some believe...the vast majority of charasmatic churches in America are powered by talent, beauty, and appeal ( but all huddled under the name Jesus...works much better to those driven by a religious spirit). Like franchises spreading across the land...this carnal based movement eagerly serves up that which so attracks...fortune, beauty, and outlets for those panting with talent.
People born with the rewarding gift of being able to read the room and and zoom to the room with that which indeed satisfy the soul...and lay it all at the feet of Jesus...and declare..He did this...NOT!
Powerful gift to read people...a man who knew no English till 21...who left school after 4th grade with 3 dollars to his name..But could read the room..though hardly speak understandably...influenced America like few before or after...Lawrence Welk..could read and deliver...and millions followed.

And now America is plagued by the gifted to build edifice to honor...somebody...have rustled away believers who used to read the entire bible..but now pretty much ignor the new testament..sit on the edge of their padded pew to hear modern day prophets ( many) quietly seek to add to Devine scripture ( with their cute old testament hairdos..to keep us guessing...is he Elijah, Moses, guess on...).
Black so close to navy blue...but so far from each other. The golden calf is what the church wanted..and Aaron delivered..even Joshua was confused...thought the righteous were getting ready for war...Moses knows us...no they are having a never ending party of plenty and self gratification...in the Name of the Unseen God.

Do the ends justify the means...we build bigger, we grow louder, like David of Old Testament..we number our church...and stand proudly in our pride. We master the fine arts of fellowship raiding, we waiting patiently and sow the seeds of Absolum ( one day this will all be ours).
We create bo***ge to our church programs and are prepared with guilt trips for those not excited to prioritize the unvarnished reality of a family business.
How we move forward ( means) reveal to those willing to open eyes..what truly is our end goal...
Jet airplanes, second, third homes, travel clubs, and the never ending worship of those desperate to be invited to the front row, stage, special clubs of spiritual faithful...faithful to God..well no, actually, faithful to leadership..which of course is the same as faithful to Christ ( not)!
Fluff up your hair Jezebel, paint carefully those eyes..that face with all those lines. Fallen for any of those old carnal lines..now grown old..Jezebel grows less attractive..melt the golden calf..give to the people..drink. Please Lord send somebody along...a simple man or woman..to toss Jezebel
to the street...it will have to be a believer dependent on the Trinity not talent, on brokenness not beauty, on anointing not ability.
Come out into non artificial light charasmatic believer..then run for your spiritual life. Carnal charasmatic churches will not go away..but the Lord will...run to fellowships which desire to fill the room with His Presence...reading the room can create a greate following..but they will not be following the Lord...and that's the truth ( which can only be seen in non-artificial Light)...mjh

Love those bike training wheels and those puffy water wings...we are really flying...no, it's an exposure to flying...as soon as you can...ditch..so says the 8 year swimming teacher...Do we want to be hobbled for life...splashing with such flair and style...yet not much growth beyond being...all wet.

PENTECOSTALS....much of their worship theatrics...not bad, just endlessly toddler.
All scripture is given for inspiration...but not every biblical character acts or even thinks mature...mature as in Christ. The learning curve is not mastered overnight...and certainly not a maturity found in might. So, as one raised in three pentecostal churches...I would plead for understanding for those locked and loaded and quite easily goaded.

Before receiving ministry credentials...I was pressed by denominational chiefs...do you or do you not believe that speaking in tongues is the initial evidence if being baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Needing a job, though I had a few thoughts, I swallowed and submitted...next.

The wisdom of that self same Holy Spirit provides in scripture...and understanding of the baptism and the Christ goal...DEVELOPING YOUR PRAYER LANGUAGE.

Christian walk is to flow from biblical truth and not susceptibility to emotion. Biblical truth can produce great emotion...never ever has man been positioned to out of his emotion...create truth.
Hysterical emotions, shaking, falling to the floor, running around...then hopping...non of these things I witnessed for years...in and of themselves produce truth...but rather a sickening side show ...supposedly the production and will of the Spirit of Christ..( sorry, forgot the snake handlers )

So pentecostals began to grow up and slow up in their extra biblical performances. Many pentecostal churches changed their name...hid their denominatiion...became less extreme and more human friendly...Good...they took off the immaturity...and hopefully embraced God is to be worshipped first in truth..while emotions are kept and reflect the new testament Jesus...sorry, the weekly rudderless moments of childish playground
thrill and shrill....was not God...never will be.

Follow scripture, my pentecostal brother, and both orderliness and anointed presence of Christ will be your blessing. Learn to partner with the Holy Spirit in your prayer language...there is a time for group prayer language...try to understand...the geat power of the prayer language flows not from being displayed to humans...but rather dedicated to the Lord and the Lord alone....avoid telling all how often you pray and how long ( works for tithing too..unless you feel you really must impress man, because it impresses not your Heavenly Father.

Always remember...pentecost came to empower...not to dazzle...nor convince people...that what you do is driven by the Spirit..because once the water wings come off...even the children will recognize that there is more need for Bible instruction and less use for hysterical destruction.

Let's go more and more to our closet of prayer...turn the TV off...and return to a life controlled first by the Spirit of Christ. Do not trust your emotions....Trust in the Lord with all that is within you...we have not been called to hourly waste our lives endlessly. POWER UP and go!

THINK I'LL WRITE A BOOK.....

" GREW UP IN PENTECOST
BLEW UP IN CHARASMATIC "

I have no desire to diminish either group as I believe they represent as much ignorance and childish comprehension as they do sales and slippery handshakes.

Additionally, flowing along in these two groups are many mature, helpful, and Christlike fellowships...many, but in per centage of the whole...ya--not so much.

Acts 2 brings the believers to the arrival of the Holy Spirit...among other actions...people were found speaking languages which could be understood by the diverse crowd...plus...they seemed to be drunk. Somehow, Peter, who must have been likewise drunk...gathered himself and managed to speak in the local language and be understood.

And so Pentecost begins...a work of the Holy Spirit...to give believers power to testify concerning Jesus to the ends of the earth.
And so they did....testify...for a season...and before long the emphasis Jesus left of testifying gave way to an emphasis of speaking in tongues...finally, Paul came along to steady the immature...he said that he spoke in tongues more than them all...but they needed to use their prayer language to build up then move out of the building and be on their way to secure the ends of the earth. Acts associates coming pentecostal groups with power...and being drunk...seemed to fade...for a few centuries.

Being baptized in the Spirit...God knows it happened...you know it happened...but how will others.....God will know you are Spirit Filled..you will know....but how will others...and there it is..the immature believers need to communicate their new experience to others....and depending on what church you attend...you soon learn the activity of the moved upon...( when Jesus breathed upon His disciples...they must have shook violently and drooled as the drunk...

Out of this world strength

Psalm 61:2...From the end of the earth I will call to You. When my heart is overwhelmed and weak, Lead me to the Rock that is Higher than I ( amplified...Lead me to help that is too hard to reach without Your help ).

Go to the end of this earth...to every man made deception ever put in place...to every man.
The true believer's heart will point to a place beyond the human race...beyond every tower of power ever offered...yes, out of the limitations of the world we know...in the Spirit...the Rock Christ Jesus is found. Holy Spirit lead us to the source of hope, comfort, and victory...Jesus our Lord. Preacher it's not you, evangelist, church worker..kneel, find Christ in prayer, and anticipate the Spirit of the Living God to lead you to the Rock of peace, confidence, and a sanity in this world brought speedily to you from another.
Simply, our strength is found in the Spirit. Try as mankind may, mankind cannot get there in the flesh...under any religious name nor disguise. The Rock is help for the weak and overwhelmed...even for those few...living in victory...not a care, definitely in the running to stand on His left and right....ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to a place of peace you just can't
manufacture...the Rock that is Higher than I.
