Sunday Service 10/11/26 - Pastor Veta Blanding

10/09/2026

It is the testimony of someone whose faith was tried by the fire but survived. You struggled, you were tested, and you faced moments when you did not know how you would make it through.

But you are still here, and you can say, “God, I made it through.”

Join us Sundays at 10:00 AM. There’s a place for you at Hopewell North East.

“God is holding me together.”

There are seasons when life feels as though it is pulling us in every direction. Even then, our faith reminds us that we are not facing the pressure alone.

God is sustaining us, strengthening us, and holding together what feels like it might fall apart.

Join us Sundays at 10:00 AM. There’s a place for you at Hopewell North East.

Aren’t you glad God looked beyond your faults and saw the best in you?

He saw greatness, ministry, purpose, and a future that your mistakes could not cancel. God did not stop at where you were. He saw who you could become.

Today, give God glory for continuing to pull the best out of you.

This week’s sermon takeaway:

“This thing is about to die at the root.”

Some wounds have been rooted in our lives for years. We may trim the visible branches and tell ourselves that we are fine, but the pain continues to affect how we trust, love, serve, and live.

Jesus teaches us that faith can uproot what has become deeply rooted within us. We have to confront the source, speak to it by faith, and refuse to let it remain.

Do not settle for temporary relief. By the power of the Holy Ghost, go after the root.

“Faith uproots the problem.”

Some wounds run deep. They affect how we trust, love, serve, and respond to others. Ignoring the pain may hide it temporarily, but it does not remove the root.

Jesus teaches us that faith can uproot what has been deeply planted within us. We do not have to remain bound by offense, bitterness, or unresolved hurt.

Do not settle for trimming the branches. Ask God for the faith to deal with the root.

“Don’t you be the one who causes someone to doubt who they are in God.”

Jesus was not addressing small disagreements or personal preferences. He was warning His disciples about actions that could damage someone’s faith and push them away from serving God.

Whether we are pastors, ministry leaders, parents, teachers, mentors, or fellow believers, our influence carries responsibility. God will hold us accountable for how we treat the people He has placed in our care.

Let your words and actions draw people closer to God, not drive them away.
