Mission Trip 2026 🇩🇴– Final Day in San Jose

Our final day in San Jose has arrived, and it is hard to believe how quickly this week has flown by.

As we reflect on the past several days, we are reminded that this trip was never really about the projects we completed. Yes, we painted, built, shoveled, repaired, taught VBS, and served wherever there was a need. But the greatest work happened in the relationships we strengthened, the friendships we built, and the moments we shared together.

This week was about doing life alongside one another—laughing together, worshiping together, serving together, and witnessing God's love through the people of this community. We have been blessed by every hug, smile, and conversation.

We leave with full hearts, countless memories, and a renewed appreciation for the power of community, faith, and serving others. We may be heading home, but a piece of our hearts will always remain in San Jose.

Mission Trip Day 4 🇩🇴

We continued our projects, painting, building,shoveling, and VBS; but the most important work wasn’t physical labor. It is continuing to build genuine relationships, sharing God’s love and spending time with the incredible people of San Jose.

Every conversation, smile, hug,and moment together reminds us why we come back year after year. Our hearts are full, we are so grateful for the friendships we’ve built and the opportunity to serve alongside our friends here in San Jose.

Thankful for all God is doing through this team. Looking forward to what He has in store for our last day here this week. 🩷🇩🇴✝️🙏

Midweek in the DR 🇩🇴

Today was filled with construction, spreading gravel, painting and one of our favorites hair washing. The old saying goes “A picture is worth a thousand words,” but these pictures can’t capture the real story. They can’t convey the joy, the smiles, the high fives, the hugs,the laughter, and the countless piggyback rides and shoulder rides our team has shared with the children this week!

One thing I’ve learned again is that God doesn’t always build teams the way we would on paper. Looking at our group, you might not immediately think it all fits together. But God has done it again. He has woven together a team that is serving, , encouraging and impacting others in ways that only He could orchestrate.

We came here to be a blessing, but as always, we’re finding ourselves blessed beyond measure.

Excited to see what God has in store for the rest of the week.

Day 3 Dominican Republic 🇩🇴
What a beautiful day serving, experiencing God moments and building stronger friendships.

Today our team stayed busy painting (varnishing) working on the new bunkhouse , repairing electrical issues at a neighboring church, and leading VBS with the children. This evening at SCORE night, three team members helped lead worship and Trenton represented Grayson without hesitation.

Its amazing how God is working through every conversation, every project and every act of service. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside our friends in San Jose.

Thank you for your continued prayers for out team, our hosts, and the community we are serving. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for tomorrow!

Day 1 in San Jose is in the books! 🇩🇴

Today was filled with reconnecting with dear friends, meeting new team members, and watching new friendships form. We kicked off our first day of VBS, got started on construction projects.

Of course, no day in San Jose would be complete without a game of basketball and hanging out with the kids. Their smiles, energy, and joy are always a highlight of our trip.

Thank you for your continued prayers for our team, the community, and all that God is doing here. We are excited to see what Day 2 has in store!

We arrived safely in the Dominican Republic! 🇩🇴

Since landing, our team has been hard at work getting everything prepared for tomorrow and settling into the mission ahead. We are excited to reconnect with our friends, serve wherever God leads, and see what He has in store this week.
