LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs are friends who bring a calming influence, allowing people to open up. Comfort Dogs are available to visit your church or group.

Gethsemane is a trained LCC K-9 Comfort Dog at Lord of Glory Lutheran Church in Grayslake, Illinois. She serves every day in the community in which she is placed and is deployed in times of disaster and crisis to bring comfort to all those affected, including fi

Thirteen LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs came together at Immanuel Lutheran Church & School to celebrate the ministry of Caleb Comfort Dog.

Caleb was such a beloved comfort dog who touched so many lives. His team along with his church and school community miss him so much.

After the celebration of his ministry we spent time with the students of Immanuel. Their grief over the loss of Caleb is immense and we pray for them as they continue to process the loss of their dear friend.

Bethesda Comfort Dog, Journey Comfort Dog, Tobias Comfort Dog, and I visited Vernon Hills High School for their Yellow Ribbon Days. This September they are focusing on mental health awareness and su***de prevention. It was a joy to be together with wonderful students!

When my friend sees me coming, she always calls down the hallway, “My sweet G!”

She has always been afraid of dogs, but she and I have formed such a special bond. It’s funny how sometimes the most unexpected friendships become the most meaningful ones.
