(Sunday November 5th 2023) Today Pastor Kurt Klingbeil was installed as pastor of the dual parish of Mt. Hope Lutheran Church in Grayling and Trinity Lutheran Church in Ga***rd. He and his wife Shawn come to us from Van Wert, Ohio where he was the pastor of the dual parish of St. John Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta and Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Van Wert. Pastor Klingbeil's installation service took place at Trinity Lutheran Church this afternoon with a celebration dinner following

August Mt. Hope Happenings:

Family Game Night will be held Monday evening, August 14th from 5-7. We are continuing with a picnic theme! Bring your family and friends as all are welcome!

The Potluck for August will be on the 6th. Host to be determined. Hope to see you there!

Council meeting is scheduled for August 16th from 9-10:30.

The next food truck is scheduled for August 5th. Hope to see everyone! POSTED TIME OF 10:00 IS DEPENDENT ON THE ARRIVAL OF THE SEMI. NOTE THE TIME CHANGE!

The fall Adopt-A-Highway pick-up will be held the last week in September. Specific date will be announced in early September.

Sunday Bible Study for Youth will be from 9:30-10:30 on August 13th and August 27th.

Movie Night is held on the first and third Wednesdays, August 2nd and 16th from 6-7:30. We are viewing “The Chosen”.

‘Noisy Offering” will continue for August and September, with your donations earmarked for Toys for Tots.

Tuesday morning Bible Study with Pastor Schneider meets from 9:30-11:00. We are currently studying the Book of John.

Women’s Bible Study, held in the Fellowship Hall is every Tuesday from 1-2:30.

Don’t forget to sign up for ushering, greeting and coffee hour in the Fellowship Hall!

Items needed for the Crawford County Children’s Christmas Program include socks, underwear, pajamas, hats, gloves and hygiene items as well as cleaning supplies, laundry and dish soap, etc. Contact Terry Tody for more information.

Mt. Hope is having a garage sale in August. Date to be determined. Contact Terry Tody for specific information. Proceeds will go to Toys for Tots.

July Mt. Hope Happenings:

Women’s Bible Study, held in the Fellowship Hall is at 1:00 pm every Tuesday.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study with Pastor Schneider meets from 9:30-11:00.

Teen & Adult Bible Study for July will be on the 2nd and the 16th at 9:30 am.

Noisy Offering for July, August & September is earmarked for Toys for Tots. Thank you for your donations!

Our 3rd food truck for 2023 will be July 22nd. Posted time of 10:00 am is dependent on the arrival of the semi. NOTE THE TIME CHANGE! June’s event served 219 families. Dates for the remaining food trucks are Saturdays, September 23rd, and October 7th.

The fall Adopt-A-Highway dates are the last week in September. Specific date to be announced early September!

Potluck for July 9th will be hosted by Evangelism. Hope to see you there!

June Mt. Hope Happenings:

The second food truck of the season will be on June 10th. Posted time of 11 am is dependent on the arrival of the truck. (May’s food truck served 252 families/544 individuals.). Thank you volunteers!

June’s “Noisy Offering”, taken the 2nd Sunday of the month, will be distributed to the Crawford County Christmas Program. Thank you for your donations!

Volunteers are needed for ushering, greeters and coffee hour. Sign up at the bulletin board.

Council meeting will be held the 3rd Wednesday of June (21st) at 9:00 am. NOTE THE TIME CHANGE.

Family game night will be Monday, June 12th. Weather permitting, we are planning a hot dog/hamburger picnic/pot-luck, provided by Mt. Hope. Inside and/or outside games will be provided. Bring your family and friends as all are welcome!

The Stewardship Committee will host the June 11th pot-luck right after Sunday service.

Women’s Bible Study is at 1:00 pm every Tuesday. We are continuing our study “Fifty-Two Women of the Bible”.

Pastor Schneider’s Tuesday morning Bible Study meets from 9:30-11:00 in the Fellowship Hall. We continue our study of the Book of John. All are welcome!

The Lutherans For Life Challenge runs from Mother’s Day through Father’s Day. Diapers, pull-ups and wipes will be collected and donated to Riverhouse Shelter in Grayling and New Life Pregnancy Resource Center in Ga***rd.

Mt. Hope is seeking an individual to serve as our representative to the Christian Help Center Board. Meetings are on Monday morning, every other month and are 1.5 hours long. That is only 9 hours per year! This is a great opportunity to help those in need and to serve our Lord! Contact Dave Jansen, Elder, Mt. Hope Lutheran Church.

April Mt. Hope happenings:

Our Women’s Bible Study will reconvene Tuesday, April 11th at 1:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. It will continue the following Tuesdays of April (4/18 and 4/25).

The Young Adult/Youth Bible Study for April will be held on Sunday’s, 4/16 and 4/30 at 9:30 a.m.

Tuesday morning Bible Study with Pastor Schneider meets from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. In the Fellowship Hall. We are studying the Book of John. All are welcome.

Our monthly potluck will be held April 16th, right after services. Always lots of food and conversation! Hope to see you there!

Family Night for April will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. Bring a friend(s) for games, fun, and pizza!

The April Council Meeting will be held on the third Tuesday, the 18th, at 3:00p.m.

Volunteers are needed! Adopt-A-Highway starts again for 2023. The first pickup will be Saturday, April 29th at 10:00 a.m. We will meet at the church. In case of rain, we will meet right after church service on the following day, the 30th.

“Noisy Offering” will continue through March and will go to Lutherans for Life.

The Family Fare “Direct Your Dollars” receipt program is ending March 1st. THE LAST DAY TO SUBMIT YOUR RECEIPTS IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL WILL BE FEBRUARY 26, 2023.

Women’s Bible Study meets Tuesday afternoons at 1:00 in the Fellowship Hall.
