We started today’s lesson on being new creations in Christ with choosing a mug we wanted to use to drink our hot chocolate out of. We talked about why we wanted which mug we wanted based on how it looked on the outside. Then several of us changed our minds when we saw the inside of the mug and realized it was dirty. We then discussed how we sometimes need Jesus to clean our hearts and help us become new creatures in him.

Today we finished our beatitudes. We will all face persecution in some form or another but we know that no matter what anyone says about us or does to us we have a promise to stand on!

Today’s lesson was on the 4th Beatitude “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” We thought about what it means to hunger or thirst for something and how that can be used to hunger and thirst for righteousness. We want to be filled with all that Jesus has for us, so we are going to hunger and thirst to make right choices in our lives!

Today we continued our series on the “ be attitudes” from Jesus’s sermon on the mount. Todays be attitude was “blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth” we talked about how meek doesn’t mean weak it actually means to be strong yet under control and letting God lead you in everything you do!
