Last Sunday, we gathered as a church family for our All-Church Picnic and had the privilege of celebrating 68 brothers and sisters as they went public with their faith through baptism! Sixty-eight stories. Sixty-eight eternities forever changed. Sixty-eight people declaring that they belong to Jesus. I’m still smiling thinking about it.

And in a beautiful way, that celebration sets us up perfectly for where we’re headed this Sunday, where we'll grapple with the question: Is Jesus really enough?

Most of us know the right answer. Of course He is! But if we’re not careful, we can unintentionally add things to our faith that God never intended. The early church grappled with this exact question in Acts 15, and the answer they arrived at was wonderfully simple and incredibly freeing.

This Sunday, in Acts 14, we’ll meet a crowd that sees God do something incredible... and totally misunderstands what they're seeing. But before we sit in judgment, the truth is we're not that different. We all come to Jesus with ideas about what will make us happy, secure, and whole. The danger is that instead of allowing Jesus to challenge those beliefs, we simply try to fit Him inside them.

But Jesus didn't come to play a supporting role in the story we're already writing. He came to be Lord of our lives. This Sunday, we'll wrestle with a simple question: Am I allowing Jesus to be Lord of every part of my life?

Also, remember that this Sunday afternoon is our annual All-Church Picnic & Baptisms! Join us at Pioneer Park beginning at 4:00pm for food, games, and time together, followed by baptisms at 7:00pm. Our cooking team will be grilling up the main course free of charge. We just ask you to bring a side or dessert to share.

I hate to tell you this, but it’s really easy to go to church, sing the songs, hear the message and still sleepwalk through your faith. But you don’t want that, and neither do I.

We don’t gather to go through the motions. We gather to be awakened. To be changed. To leave different than we came. Yet even the best rhythms can become routine if we’re not careful.

So here’s the question for each of us to wrestle with: Am I actually being changed?

This Sunday will be a much-needed wake-up call for our church, an invitation to rediscover what it means to live like God is still at work in our lives, just as He was in the book of Acts.

Have you ever wished God would just tell you exactly what to do?

We want the roadmap, the right direction, the unmistakable sign that tells us what comes next. But often, God doesn't give us all the details. So how do we make wise decisions while still depending on Him? This Sunday, we'll discover how faith and reason work together as we continue our journey through Acts.

Most of us don't wake up trying to carry the weight of the world.

We simply add one more responsibility. One more expectation. One more obligation. One more thing to prove. Before long, we're exhausted — not because life is hard, but because we're trying to hold together things we were never meant to hold together.

What if freedom begins, not by trying harder, but by laying down a burden you were never meant to carry? We'd love to explore that question with you this Sunday as we continue our journey through Acts.

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to pray when life is going well... and how strangely difficult it can become after enough disappointment?

Most of us haven’t stopped believing in God. But many of us have quietly stopped expecting Him to move. After enough unanswered prayers, deferred hopes, and painful circumstances, it’s easier to lower our expectations than risk being disappointed again.

If you’ve ever found yourself wondering why prayer feels harder than it used to, or why it has become more of a last resort than a first response, then this weekend is for you.
