Hi Church Family,

This weekend, as we continue our journey through Acts, we’ll pick up the story right after Peter and John are threatened and told to stop speaking about Jesus. What they do next is both surprising and deeply challenging: they don’t panic, posture, or plot — they pray. But it’s not the kind of prayer most of us default to. They pray a Spirit-saturated prayer that is grounded in God’s sovereignty and boldly ask for the courage to follow Jesus even if it costs them dearly.

If you, like me, are in the habit of praying safe, sanitized prayers that focus on your comfort and avoidance of conflict, then this is a conversation you won’t want to miss. Come ready to worship and to ask the Holy Spirit to give you the boldness to live as an ambassador for Jesus.

See you Sunday at our 9:00 & 11:00am services!

This Sunday as we continue our journey through Acts, we’ll pick up the story right as momentum builds in the early church and resistance rises with it. A public miracle sparks a public confrontation, and Peter and John find themselves face-to-face with the very power brokers who tried to silence Jesus. What happens next is a striking picture of what the Holy Spirit does in ordinary people when fear, pressure, and the temptation to stay quiet collide with faith.

If you’ve ever felt the tension between self-protection and obedience, this Sunday will be both convicting and encouraging.

See you at our 9:00 & 11:00am services!

We are still in awe of the beautiful reminder we got last Sunday of the many families that God has added to our church community, and we are so thankful for the tangible ways our church family shows up for one another with real care.

This Sunday, as we continue our series through Acts, we’ll look at a moment when the Holy Spirit compels two disciples to stop for a disabled beggar. He’s hoping for something small to help him get through the day… but God has something far greater in mind. It’s a timely reminder that the greatest gift the church has to offer isn’t a resource or a quick fix; it’s pointing one another to the living presence of God and inviting Him to do what only He can do.

And in that same spirit, we’ll set aside time in service to pray for those in our church family who are longing for healing, whether physical, relational, spiritual, or emotional. We’ve done this before, and each time we are moved by the way the Holy Spirit meets us as we surround our hurting brothers and sisters in prayer.

Plus, if you’re new to Twin Cities or want to get more rooted here, then we invite you to join us after the 2nd service for our Growth Path 101 (New Members) class. If you’d like to get to know what Twin Cities is about, our history, core beliefs and what it means to call TCC home, then we welcome you to join us in the children’s multipurpose room at 1:00pm (lunch and childcare will be provided).

See you Sunday at our 9:00 & 11:00am services!

This Sunday is Mother’s Day, so don’t forget to celebrate your mom — or the mother figures who have loved, shaped, and supported you along the way. We’re grateful for the women in our church family who nurture, lead, and pour themselves out in a thousand unseen ways, and we plan to celebrate you this weekend.

We’re also continuing the conversation we began last week about what it looks like to be a church that tangibly cares for one another. This week, we’ll focus on families raising children, because in a fast-paced, hyper-digital world, parenting can feel more challenging than ever, and it was never meant to be done alone. We’ll hear from women in our church who are living this out and helping others do the same, as we ask what it looks like for the church to come alongside families with real support and real community.

Finally, we’ll be doing Family Dedications in service. If you have kids in the house, this is a chance to (re)dedicate yourself to the wonderful and challenging calling of raising your children in the Lord, as well as to invite your church family to support you in that journey. Feel free to take your kids to children’s ministry like normal. I will give you time in the service to get them before we do family dedications towards the end of the service.

See you this Sunday at our 9:00 & 11:00am services!

Hi Church Family,

I’m still flying high from last Sunday’s baptisms. What an incredible celebration as we got to witness 41 brothers and sisters in Christ go public with their faith through baptism. It’s a powerful reminder that God is still changing lives and adding to our number those being saved.

This weekend, we’re turning our attention to an issue that is plaguing our culture and readily impacts our community. We live in the most connected age in history and yet our society is suffering from an epidemic of loneliness and isolation. So, what does God offer as an antidote? This Sunday, we’ll look at the kind of community the Spirit formed in the early church — real relationships, shared life, and a love so tangible that people couldn’t help but take notice. And we’ll explore some tangible steps to help nurture that same kind of hope-filled, transformative community here in Nevada County.

We hope you’ll join us this Sunday at our 9:00 & 11:00am services!

This Sunday in Walking with the Spirit, we’ll step into one of the most exciting moments in the story of the early church: Peter’s first sermon on Pentecost — the day everything changed. In a single message from a very unlikely source, thousands respond to Jesus and choose to get baptized.

Fittingly, we’ll also be celebrating baptisms in both services this weekend. Come prepared to worship loud and celebrate big as our new brothers and sisters in Christ go public with their faith. It’s going to be a powerful Sunday.

This weekend in our “Walking With the Spirit” series, we’re stepping into one of the most significant moments in the story of God’s people: the day the Holy Spirit came and the church was born.

It’s an incredible moment in history, one which has forever changed our world. And, as we will see, that moment has a very clear message: God doesn’t just work around His people — He chooses to work within them, empowering ordinary men and women to bear witness to Jesus in a way they never could on their own.

And that’s where it gets personal: when the Holy Spirit moves, things change. That change can be beautiful, disruptive, and even a little uncomfortable, but it’s also exactly how God grows His church and reaches people who are far from Him. Come ready to lean in, worship, and ask God to do what only He can do in us and through us.

See you Sunday at our 9:00 & 11:00am services!
