On Sunday we are celebrating Pentecost, the coming of God's Spirit onto the disciples as tongues of flames, moving them to praise God in languages that none of them learned.
Until today, God's Holy Spirit moves us to speak about God's love in ways that people understand and to communicate across barriers of race, status, politics, and religion that keep people(s) separated. After all, the Spirit unifies us to be one in Christ.

Easter morning is special.
You get up early, still sleep in your eyes
you get ready for church.
Not quite awake you arrive,
whispered “Christ Is Risen’s” …
while an expectation is building up
waiting to be allowed to bubble to the surface
and then explode in the first Alleluia of the day,
followed by many more.

We really have this advantage
over the women who showed up at the grave
on Easter morning.
We know what is coming.
We know that the cross, the grave,
death will not have the last word.
We know that Jesus’ story has a happy end …
more than a happy end …
and everlasting happy end,
because death has been swallowed up
and life has sprung eternally.

Happy Easter to all.

We will celebrate and rejoice 6:30am at the Sunrise Service
and the festive service at 10:00am.

Today it’s four years since the Russian Invasion of Ukrsine began. So sad to see that peace is still not in sight.

Today, February 24, marks four years since the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Four years of destruction, displacement and so many deaths. Four years of strength and resilience of the Ukrainian people. 🇺🇦

We are grateful for the privilege of walking with the and other partners throughout the region, in support of the people of Ukraine and all who seek peace with justice.
