We do our best to keep everyone in a 40 hour week but some weeks will require more than 40. Church attendance is required any Sunday you are not working. rass Lake Assembly of God, which is located at the front of our campus or hitch a ride with some one to their church. There will be some Sunday’s that you will have to work. All Summer Staff will work the turn-over’s (completely cleaning and setting up the entire camp for the next group coming in, like in the next 3 hours). We have a 49 room Lodge to be cleaned, a 750 seat Tabernacle to clean and set up, plus 15 other buildings to clean, disinfect and set up again. You get to do this again the next day and repeat this same pattern 2 or 3 times a week for the w h o l e summer! Ye Haw
You will do lots of cleaning, maybe painting, lawn work and when groups need us you will be doing the High Ropes/Low Ropes Courses, Initiatives Course, Horseshoes, Softball or Basketball Referee for competitive teams, Family Camp week working the games and special events, Climbing Wall, Go-Carts, or Life Guarding (only those with a LG certificate) and just about anything else that needs doing, you’re the chosen ones If extra help is needed at our northern camp in Ga***rd, Michigan and you are willing to go, we may send you for a week or two up north. Summer Staff is a great way to meet many new friends, attend the Youth and Children services and special events when you are not working. You will work hard, long days but we try to do something special together as a staff a few times a week like bonfires, swimming, blobbing, go cart fun, going to the Ice Cream Parlor and just hanging out. It’s GREAT!!! Get those applications in ASAP before all the slots are filled. Make sure that your Letter of Recommendation from your pastor and your two Character References have been sent in.
