This morning's devotion scripture comes from the King James version of the Bible:

"And He said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son” (Revelations 21:6-7).

The New Beginnings Daily Devotion
"I Want to Be Ready"
Revelations 21:6-7

John sees the holy city, the new Jerusalem, descending from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. This imagery represents the church in its glorified, triumphant state, fully united with God. The passage emphasizes God's presence among His people.

In summary, this scripture portrays a future reality of ultimate restoration, where God’s presence brings perfect joy, security, and eternal life, free from the trials and sorrows of the present world. It is both a promise of hope and a call to faithfulness, emphasizing the eternal reward for those who remain steadfast in God.

Those who overcome inherit all things, and God becomes their God while they become His children.

And like the lyricist:

“I want to be ready,
I want to be ready,
I want to be ready
To walk in Jerusalem just like John."

In His Service,
Pastor Allen T. Cork, Sr.

This morning's devotion scripture comes from the King James version of the Bible:

"I am the true vine, and My Father is the husbandman.

Every branch in Me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing” (John 15:1-5).

"Without Him I Could Do Nothing"
John 15:1-5

I can never ignore this concept of giving because it is in the truest sense of the word that Christ exhorts that we give of ourselves to abide in Him.

I really want to remember that, because it has eternal principles that we all so greatly need.

In His Service,
Pastor Allen T. Cork, Sr.

This morning's devotion scriptures come from the Message translation of the Bible & King James version of the Bible respectively:

“Hey there! All who are thirsty, come to the water! Are you penniless? Come anyway—buy and eat! Come, buy your drinks, buy wine and milk. Buy without money—everything’s free! Why do you spend your money on junk food, your hard-earned cash on cotton candy? Listen to me, listen well: Eat only the best, fill yourself with only the finest. Pay attention, come close now, listen carefully to My life-giving, life-nourishing words. I’m making a lasting covenant commitment with you, the same that I made with David:” (Isaiah 55:1-3 MSG).

“If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (II Chronicles 7:14).

"Shop Now, Save Later"
Isaiah 55:1-3 MSG & II Chronicles 7:14

God offers us a chance to consider our options without a financial assessment, but a purchase, nonetheless.

We are rich enough now to afford what God has for us later if we would just take a cue from Him.

It's so easy to forget that God has already made provision for us and all we have to do is receive it.

Pastor Allen T. Cork, Sr.

This morning's devotion scripture comes from the King James version of the Bible:

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him Be glory both now and forever. Amen” (II Peter 3:18).

The New Beginnings Daily Devotion
"Grow Me Lord"
II Peter 3:18

God has a definitive assignment for each of us and we must put our best foot forward, And do all we can, while we can, because payday Is coming afterwhile.

When we do the things God wants us to do, we can defer to the Spirit of God and say: “As your glory fills this house and Your presence floods my soul. Even now forever more…Your name be praised.”

As a servant of the Lord I want to be ready and available to do whatever He wants me to do. To that end, Lord use me, until You use me up to the glory of God!!!!!!!

In His Service,
Pastor Allen T. Cork, Sr.

This morning's devotion scriptures come from the New International Version translation of the Bible:

"I will exalt You, my God the King; I will praise Your name for ever and ever.

Every day I will praise You and extol Your name for ever and ever.

Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom.

One generation commends Your works to another; they tell of Your mighty acts.

The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love” (Psalm 145:1-4, 8 NIV).

“Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, His holy mountain” (Psalm 48:1 NIV).

The New Beginnings Daily Devotion
"Great is the Lord and Greatly to Be Praised"
Psalm 145:1-4, 8 NIV & Psalm 48:1 NIV

"Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised" appears in two passages in the Bible, David focuses on God's goodness, compassion, and eternal majesty.

We all can appreciate God’s deity when it comes to exalting His name. He alone deserves our praise, for He’s the name above all names.

Pastor Allen T. Cork, Sr.
