Though they had Ann Spence ready to go for her biopsy this morning, at the last second they decided not to do it, determining that either the tumor in her lung had shrunk or that it was actually a shadow on the scan. Either way, we are thankful. She is still, however, scheduled to have an endoscopy next week in Kingwood. Praise God for this outcome, but please continue to pray.

Jackie Lockey is done with her endoscopy & should be headed home shortly. Please pray for a safe trip home for her & Jimmy in the traffic.

“Jesus went home to Nazareth for the purpose of proclaiming the gospel & giving His disciples a peek at the power of unbelief. Jesus left Nazareth a private individual. He returned a public figure, a rabbi with disciples. When He taught in the synagogue, His wisdom was undeniable. Undoubtedly, the people had questions. They had known Jesus since He was a kid. It was inconceivable that He could have any mission from heaven. This is the essence of unbelief: the stubborn refusal to accept the evidence & admit the presence & power of God.

Doubt is not the absence of faith; doubt is the questioning of faith. You can only doubt what you already believe. Doubt is one of the most common struggles in the Christian life. On the other hand, unbelief is the determined refusal to believe & resistance to God involving spiritual blindness. It’s the fast road to eternal separation from a loving Father.

Mark’s statement, ‘He was not able to do a miracle there,’ doesn’t imply Jesus was powerless, but that He wouldn’t carry out His purposes where faith was absent.”

We are thankful to be able to report that Fred & Kathy Reynolds were able to come home yesterday from UT Medical in Tyler. No doubt there will be followup.

Please be in prayer for Ann Spence as she will be having a biopsy procedure tomorrow morning at Christus Mother Francis in Tyler. She is already dealing with esophageal cancer, but this is to check a spot they have found on her lung. Please pray the doctors are able to glean the information they need.

Also be in prayer for Jackie Lockey who will be having a procedure at Christus Mother Francis tomorrow afternoon.

And please be praying for Michelle Howell who will be having knee replacement surgery Thursday morning in Nacogdoches. Pray for a quick procedure & recovery.
