Join us as Light On A Hill Church celebrates 25 years of God's faithfulness!

On July 15, 2001, a small group of families gathered with a vision to shine the light of Christ in our community. By God's grace, that light continues to shine today.

We invite former members, friends, family, and our current church family to join us for this special day of worship, fellowship, and thanksgiving as we celebrate all that God has done through the ministry of Light On A Hill Church over the past 25 years.

📅 Sunday, July 12, 2026 – Worship Service starts at 10:30 am

⛪ Special Anniversary Worship Service

🍽 Fellowship Meal Following the Service

This will be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends, share memories, view photos and memorabilia from the church's history, and celebrate God's faithfulness together.
If Light On A Hill Church has been part of your story, we'd love for you to be part of this celebration.

RSVPs are appreciated to help us prepare for the meal, but they are not required.

We are also collecting photos, bulletins, newsletters, and other memories from the past 25 years to include in our anniversary celebration. If you have something you'd like to share, please contact us.

Pentecost and Memorial Day coming together is a powerful reminder: remembrance should lead us to action.

Memorials exist because sacrifice matters. We remember those who gave their lives for freedom, and we ask ourselves what we will do with what they gave us.
As believers, we should ask the same question spiritually.

Jesus gave His life. He conquered sin and death. He poured out the Holy Spirit on the church. So what will we do with what God has given us?

The church was never designed to be powered by memories alone. The Holy Spirit takes what we remember about God and turns it into a mission. He empowers us to move forward with boldness, faith, passion, and purpose.

Pentecost is not just a story to remember. It is a fire to carry forward.

What is God calling you to step into right now instead of simply looking back at what used to be?

Somewhere along the way, many churches started believing the answer was better marketing, better branding, or better programs. But the early church changed the world without any of that.

What they did have was the power of the Holy Spirit.

Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians that spiritual gifts are given for the building up of the church and the work of ministry. God empowers ordinary people to do extraordinary things for His kingdom.

The church does not need to survive on tradition and memories alone. We need the presence of God. We need bold faith. We need people willing to pray, serve, witness, and trust God again.

It was never about the size of the crowd. It was always about the power of God working through surrendered people.

If someone looked at your life, would they see someone merely going through religious motions, or someone genuinely filled with the fire of God?

Pentecost was not about emotional hype. It was not manufactured enthusiasm. It was the power of God descending on ordinary people and changing them forever.

Fishermen became bold witnesses. Fearful followers became leaders. A small group hiding in an upper room suddenly carried the Gospel across the world.

What changed? The Holy Spirit.

Too many Christians today are stuck in “remembering mode.” We remember a time when our prayers were stronger. A time when worship moved us more deeply. A time when we were hungry for more of God. But Pentecost reminds us that God is still moving today.

The Holy Spirit doesn’t call us to sit around talking about what used to be. He calls us forward into what God still wants to do.

What has caused your spiritual fire to cool — fear, disappointment, routine, hurt — and are you willing to let God reignite it?

The disciples had memories most of us could only imagine. They had watched Jesus heal the sick, calm storms, raise the dead, and teach with authority. They had seen the cross and witnessed the resurrection.

But after all of that, where were they? In an upper room. Waiting.

Jesus knew memories alone would not be enough to change the world. That’s why He told them in Acts 1:8, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses.”

The church was never meant to run only on stories from the past. The church needs the power of the Holy Spirit. The disciples didn’t just need information. They needed transformation.
A lot of believers today know the stories, know the songs, and know the church language. But God wants more than familiarity. He wants a people filled with His power and moved toward His mission.

Have you settled for knowing about God, or are you actively depending on the power of the Holy Spirit in your life?

We just celebrated Pentecost Sunday, the day we remember the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the church. It’s also Memorial Day weekend, a time when we remember those who gave their lives serving our country. Both remind us of something important: some things should never be forgotten.

Jesus said in John 14:26, “The Holy Spirit… will remind you of everything I have told you.” But remembrance in the Bible was never meant to stop at reflection. Real remembrance changes the way we live.

As a nation, we remember moments like 9/11. We remember sacrifices made by others. But too often, we remember… and then go right back to normal. The same can happen spiritually. We remember what God has done, but we stop short of letting those memories move us forward.
God never intended for His people to live only on memories. He calls us to action, obedience, and mission.

Are you simply remembering what God has done in your life, or are those memories still changing the way you live today?

This past Sunday morning, our church family at Light On A Hill Church had the opportunity to celebrate Amber Loew on her birthday and present her with a special gift as a small token of our appreciation.

Pastor Tommy and Donna Sprinkle presented Amber with a figurine of a woman holding flowers — a fitting gift for someone who loves gardening and spends so much time growing plants in her greenhouse. With Pastor Jesse and Amber currently remodeling their home, the figurine will soon have a permanent place to call home once the work is complete.

Amber does so much for our church family, both in ways that are seen and in ways that often go unnoticed. Many people see her singing with the worship team each week, but there are also countless behind-the-scenes ways she supports Pastor Jesse, serves others, and helps care for the ministry of the church.

We are thankful for Amber, for her servant’s heart, and for the encouragement she is to so many people. We hope she had a wonderful birthday and know our church family joins us in wishing her many blessings in the year ahead.

This past Sunday at Light On A Hill Church, we had a wonderful time celebrating Mother’s Day while honoring all of the ladies of our church family for their faithfulness, dedication, and servant hearts.

Pastor Tommy shared a message focused on the important role women play in serving God, caring for their families, and supporting the ministry of the church. At the close of the service, all of the ladies were invited to come forward and each was presented with a small gift as a token of our appreciation. One of the most meaningful moments of the morning came as the rest of the church gathered around our ladies, standing with them and praying over them together.

Following the service, the men of the church took over the kitchen and grills for a special Mother’s Day cookout at the church. Instead of fighting crowded restaurant lines, everyone enjoyed a relaxed afternoon of food and fellowship together in a packed fellowship hall.

The men planned the meal, cooked the burgers and hot dogs, served the food, and even handled the cleanup afterward. It was a great day filled with laughter, good food, encouragement, and appreciation for the many women who help make our church family so special.

We are thankful for all of the ladies of LOAH Church and the countless ways they serve, encourage, and love others every single week.
