Our music director, Nichole, shared a beautiful offertory song this morning, singing “There Was Jesus” as a tribute to Dolly Parton. These words, paired with Nichole’s beautiful voice and piano playing, gave us all the feels—and the chills. ❤️

“In the waiting, in the searching
In the healing and the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces
Every minute, every moment
Where I've been and where I'm going
Even when I didn't know it or couldn't see it
There was Jesus”

Such a moving and meaningful reminder that He is with us through every season.

❤️☀️ What a Summer of Faith! ☀️❤️

As summer comes to a close, our hearts are full of gratitude.

This summer, we had the privilege of sharing God’s love throughout our community in so many ways:
📚 Parables in the Park, where children heard Bible stories, enjoyed snacks, and learned about God’s love.
🍉 A Fourth of July Watermelon Feed, serving hundreds of neighbors during our community celebration.
🏊 A Community Pool Party, bringing families together for an evening of fun, fellowship, and frozen treats.
🇺🇸 A Perkins County Fair Parade float, celebrating our community and sharing smiles along the parade route.
🎥 A movie in the sanctuary showing David with popcorn.
🍔 Community Park Picnic, gathering around the table to enjoy food, friendship, and fellowship.

None of this would have been possible without our incredible volunteers. Thank you to everyone who donated food, supplies, time, talents, and countless hours of service. You have truly been the hands and feet of Jesus.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who attended an event, invited a friend, or simply stopped by to say hello. Every conversation, every smile, and every act of kindness helped make this summer special.

At Grant UMC, we believe church is more than what happens on Sunday morning. It’s about loving our neighbors, serving our community, and creating places where everyone feels welcome.

❤️ The summer may be coming to an end, but our ministry doesn’t stop here. We invite you to join us for worship, fellowship, and future events as we continue growing together in faith. There is always a place for you at Grant UMC.

Today we brought our Summer of Faith to a close with our rescheduled community meal and what a beautiful ending it was! ❤️

God blessed our community with much-needed rain last night and gorgeous weather today as we gathered to share a free meal with friends, neighbors, and community members. The pavilion was filled with good food, laughter, conversation, and fellowship across generations.

Thank you to everyone who prepared food, served, helped behind the scenes, and joined us around the tables. This summer has reminded us that faith grows when we worship, serve, celebrate, and simply spend time together.

What a wonderful summer and what a beautiful community God has given us!
