It's Saturday. The disciples are scared. Hope is lost. Jesus is buried. The rock is in place. Soldiers stand guard. But... Sunday is coming!

Thank you to all that put on a beautiful Good Friday service last night! Michael Perry, Darin Richards, Don Van Arnam, Stacy Criswell, Ashtonn Criswell, Rico Delacruz, Rusty Gray, Bob Hagglund, Colton Day, Tommy Hansen, Dawn Zang, Tom Hudon, Jill Hudon, Emily Hagglund, Cassandra Perry, Genavieve Perry, Makayla Molver, Maci Galusha & Leanna Perry. The service was a blessing to a very full church, including over two dozen youth! I think nearly every seat was filled as we relived that last moments of Jesus's life and grieved with Him in His suffering.

The service ended in silence and in darkness. But the story doesn't end on Friday. Come back on Sunday to celebrate the victory! 9:00am & 10:30am.

Dear church family, As Darin makes adjustments to his life, to raise his kids without their sweet mother, we need to continue to keep the family in our prayers. God has already answered prayers by recently shifting Darin's schedule so he could have his evenings free. Kitty (Stacie's mom) will continue homeschooling the kids every day which will provide stability for the children and continued healing and joy for her as she grieves the loss of her daughter. In the meantime, there are some hours between the time school ends and when Darin gets home when childcare is needed. In an effort to continue supporting the children, Annabel has set up a fundraising page for the kids. Please follow the link to donate, to share the link, or to pray for them. Annabel will manage the funds and pay the caretakers so that it will be less for Darin to worry about. He's a wonderful father and will be a God-centered leader in Zoe and Leon's lives. We are happy to offer him support however we can.

Our dear friend Dawn has been hanging out at Skagit Hospital since Tuesday. Thank you to those of you who have continued to keep her in your prayers as the doctors work on identifying and resolving the issue. She did get to enjoy a visit from her mom and niece for Valentine's Day, so that was a nice treat! She's hoping to get discharged tomorrow. Please pray for healing so she can return home!

Good morning, church family,

We are having fun organizing the comfort baskets for the Richards family. We plan to present them to the family in the next couple of days. If you still have something you'd like to contribute, drop items off with Annabel or with me by Wednesday, Feb 12.

Stacie was in the hospital last night due to some minor complications with her bile-draining system but they got it worked out quickly. They were in the Emergency room late so their darling kiddos enjoyed a slumber party with Cassie in our rec room. Zoe and Leon are such a joy to have around!

Thank you for your continued prayers for the family! Bringing them to Jesus in prayer is the most important thing any of us can do!

To contribute to the comfort baskets, drop items off at the following homes:

Annabel Zang (off Menzel Lake Rd): 3614 - 231st Dr. NE Granite Falls

Carla Galusha-Perry (near the GF High School): 17606 Oak St. Granite Falls

Comfort basket ideas:

Stacie: unscented candles, fragrance-free anything, dark chocolate, devotionals, Biblical encouragement

Darin: meat, beef sticks, jerky, anything with meat; he's stockpiling for the end of days

Zoe, 6: Frozen movie stuff, cheerios, freeze dried fruit, blueberries, strawberries

Leon, 4: toys to take apart and put back together, he's in love with the (Amazon Echo Dot). He comes to my house and walks around with a broken one, talking to it and saying he's going to fix it. It'd be fun if someone had an extra one lying around to give to him.

If you'd like to follow Stacie's journey through her Facebook updates, you can join her page. My Cancer Marathon.

Thank you for your continued love and support!

Establishing a culture of prayer in our church and in other churches is very dear to Pastor Jeremiah's heart. He has created opportunities for us to pray as Jesus taught us to pray and join our hearts together in praising God because He is worthy. He has encouraged us to seek God together as a unified church family on behalf of our own needs and those of the larger community. He has organized Nights of Renewal and Sunday morning prayer times and praised God with true joy and love with those who joined him during those moments. His enthusiasm for Scripture-fed, Spirt-led, worship-based prayer remained solid whether he was praying with 2 people or 20 people.

Pastor Jeremiah is now being led by God to guide other spiritual leaders into this kind of prayer. But he has not left us ill-equipped. He has outlined the process for us, taught us how to pray through the Psalms, modeled it in his own prayer time, and even provided us with written reflections and journals so we could continue praying at home too. There's not much more that he needs to do to prepare us to continue Scripture-fed, Spirit-led, worship-based prayer. It's time for us to step up and follow this lead and lead others. As a church family, we will continue praying independently, with friends and with the church family as a whole.

If your schedule allows, please join us tonight as we make a commitment to God and to Pastor Jeremiah's efforts to continue the culture of prayer in the Granite Church.

I will see you tonight at 6:30.

This January, though, pain in her back and ribs revealed lesions on her tailbone, spine, ribs, skull, jaw and masses on her liver and pancreas. She is now fighting S...
