Hi yall, Kevin the social media guy here!
Wanted to “break character” a little bit and share these pictures I was given.
I’m sure yall know Barbara, my grandmother. These pictures were taken by some of her family (the Bowmans) and the best we can tell, the first three are from sometime in the early 50s and the last one is from maybe the 70s. I’m working to narrow down the timeline and find more information, but these are just too cool not to share.
I haven’t seen pictures from before the educational building was added or with the original steeple. I also love the outfits!
The other thing that stuck out to me is that it seems like it’s just like we do now, church service ends, but we spend time after to talk, catch up and really fellowship with one another!
Also, even though a lot has changed, this building is still recognizable as DSBC!
If anyone recognizes anyone in the photos or can share more info, tell us in the comments! If I find more information out I’ll pass it along!

PS. Do we want to see a side by side comparison from the same angle???

We're offically in the season of Fall, and at Dudley, that means we're picking up where we left off last fall on our read through of Genesis!

Picking up in chapter 9, we find Noah and his family unpacking from their journey in the Ark. Not to be too clickbaity, but what happens next may surprise you...

In case you missed it, we hosted a sizzling hot community BBQ this weekend!
Between the food, the friends and the mountain of desserts there was no shortage of ways to have a grill good time, all in support of missions both here and abroad.
We wanted to say thank you to all who volunteered and to all who came and ate with us or bought to-go plates! We hope that we accomplished our goal of meat-ing your expectations!

This past weekend was a busy one here at DSBC, but we made sure to show up for the annual Walk for Life!
Caldwell Pregnancy Care Center is an organization that Dudley loves to support in our local community, and we never miss this chance to rally with other churches to both raise money for this ministry and show our community that we stand with the Care Center!

We're having a bake sale!!! 🍰🍪🍰
If you've still got room after a big plate of BBQ, be sure to drop by the dessert table inside or flag down someone with a tray of brownies in the drive through! All of the proceeds go directly to reducing the individual cost of summer camp for our kids, so go ahead and get two slices of cake, we won't judge!

We'll be serving BBQ from 11-2 today, and we'd love to see you!!!

Our ministry staff and their families just wrapped up a couple days together at Fort Caswell. We spent time praying, planning, dreaming, and talking about the vision and future of Dudley Shoals.

We’re thankful for this team and excited about where God is leading our church. There’s a lot to look forward to!!

Growth Groups start back THIS Sunday! There are so many great options this semester, and we really believe there’s something for everybody.

Find a group that fits and jump in! Growth Groups are just a great way to get to know people and grow in your faith outside of Sunday morning rhythms. Sometimes you just have to show up and see what God does with it.

Come be a part this Sunday!
