The Freshman Academy teachers proudly recognized two incredible staff members with the Lifetime Achievement Award: Becky McKercher and Miranda Denning. ❤️

For decades, these women have been the heart of the Freshman Academy — mentoring students, supporting teachers, leading with compassion, and helping countless freshmen find their way. From comforting students on difficult days to celebrating them on their best ones, their impact reaches far beyond the classroom walls.

Mrs. Denning has been a trusted advocate and guiding presence since the Freshman Academy began in 2004, while Mrs. McKercher’s leadership and dedication have helped shape the academy into what it is today.

Their legacy is found in every student they’ve encouraged, every teacher they’ve supported, and every life they’ve touched along the way.

Congrats Vicki!

We’re proud to celebrate one of our Leadership Caldwell Class of 2026 graduates, Vicki Jetton with Caldwell County Smart Start.

Vicki is a true light in our community. After retiring from the school system, she didn’t slow down—she stepped right into a new role to continue showing up for the children and families of Caldwell County.

She leads by example, putting in the work and quietly making a difference every day. Her dedication, heart, and steady presence are what make her leadership so impactful.
