This week at Grace Church East, Marty Haas continues teaching from the book of Galatians.

In this message, Marty walks through Galatians 3 and 4 and reminds us of the freedom we have through Jesus Christ.

The Gospel is not about trying harder, proving ourselves, or earning God’s love through religious performance. It is about trusting the finished work of Christ and living in the grace He has already given.

Through Galatians, we are reminded that:
• We are redeemed by faith in Jesus Christ
• The law cannot save us
• Christ has set us free from condemnation
• We are children of promise through Him
• The Holy Spirit continues the work God began in us
• Grace allows us to live with joy instead of fear

Because of Jesus, we do not have to carry the pressure of earning what only grace can give.

Join us as we are reminded to rest in the grace of God, walk in the power of the Spirit, and give Jesus all the glory.

The Gospel reminds us that salvation is not about our performance, our effort, or our ability to earn God’s love. It is about the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Through Galatians, we’ll look at the difference between living under the weight of shame, fear, and obligation—and living in the freedom, grace, and confidence found in Christ.

This message will remind us to:
• Renew our confidence in the sufficiency of the cross
• Live by faith, not by trying to earn righteousness
• Walk in the power of the Holy Spirit
• Serve God from joy and obedience, not desperation
• Refuse to let shame or fear keep us from sharing and living the Gospel

Because of Jesus, we do not have to carry the shame He already took. And we do not have to live for our own glory—we are invited to live for His.

The book of Proverbs reminds us that wisdom is not just about knowing more information. It is about learning to recognize reality, respond with humility, and live in a way that honors God.

This week, we’ll look at how wisdom:

This week, Pastor Steve McKinney continues our journey through Philippians with Part 9: “Chasing Carrots.”

We live in a world that constantly tells us to chase more.

Get more.
Be more.
Prove yourself.
Make sure everybody notices.

But the more we chase the things we think will satisfy us, the more we discover they were never able to fill our souls in the first place.

In Philippians 4, Paul shows us a different way—the way of contentment. Not contentment because life is easy, but contentment because Christ is enough.

This week, we’ll look at how:
• Contentment is learned
• Contentment is separate from lack or plenty
• Contentment is strength from Jesus
• Contentment creates opportunity
• Contentment brings true satisfaction

Paul reminds us that Christ does not always remove the circumstance, but He gives us strength to live faithfully within it.

Join us as we discover how to stop chasing what cannot satisfy and begin trusting the One who can.
