As we wrapped up our Power of the Spirit series, we explored what Paul wrote about the armor of God! In his letter to the Ephesians, Paul encourages them to “be strong in the Lord Jesus.”

Paul goes on to describe that the Holy Spirit’s protection against the devil’s tricks is like putting on a suit of armor. Each piece of armor has a purpose, and when we put on the armor of God, we can be strong in Jesus and stand firm in our obedience to Him! The Holy Spirit gives us strength!

Yesterday our Preschool friends passed a ball of yarn around thanking God for the gift of the Holy Spirit. This helped us understand how we are all connected to one another, even though we are different~because God loves us all and wants a relationship with us.

This week in our Created New series, we explored Genesis 1–2 in God’s big story where in six days, God creates the world and everything in it. His most precious creation is people—created in His image. Our elementary kids traced their own hands and showed creative ways that God is using them!

This week in God’s big story, Jesus catches up with His disciples by WALKING ON WATER! Yes, you read that right. Jesus walked on water in the middle of a windy night. Truly, He is the Son of God! Everywhere Jesus walked, people were changed. In our series, our kids will encounter a miracle-working Jesus who sees them, loves them, and will stop at nothing to be with them. What better way to kick off this series than with a SUPERHERO Sunday Funday! All Grace Kids are invited to come to church this Sunday, February 22, dressed as their favorite superhero or someone they admire. This can be as creative as they choose! Let’s add a little extra fun to children’s ministry to kick off the week!
