Join us beginning tomorrow for our an equipping on ‘The Makeup of a Missional Life.‘ This series will explore the four fundamental parts of what it means to live life on mission. Each part, when flowing in unity, creates a powerful and impactful life for Kingdom Advancement. Let’s take this time to connect in sharing over the Word as the Lord imparts His heart!

In this hour, we are in need of prioritizing God’s heart as God takes His church collectively into a time of deeper healing for the betterment of Kingdom and relational health with one another throughout the body of Christ.
——
Beginning this Sunday, September 6th, we will host Sunday gatherings at 10AM with the first three weeks being a time to be equipped in the Word of God and the 4th week being Community Outreach to go and be the hands and feet of Jesus to someone else. We are continually praying and interceding for the Lord to establish the foundation of His church.

Our story started on our couch six minutes from here, reflecting on where God was leading us in planting. The rebuilding and uprooting began on the couch, in our hearts.

Asking. Seeking. Searching—God had many answers and he also had several he waited to answer. We stand here learning everyday to give God a yes in a city, in a region, in a land that breeds the beauty of missions and also a people longing for healing, restoration, and a reset. We too long for it in our lives. Through constant pruning and refining, we had no idea how much this yes would cost us. How much praying would remind us of just how much we don’t know yet, a daily reminder of Who God is.

To rebuild. You see old garments torn up from this space but we see a need for a home surrounded with neighbors and families on mission. Made up of people and for people to glorify God.

Because what do we know about a home? It comes with tears, laughs, late nights, questions, mistakes, fun times, forgiveness, pain points, sacrifice, and invitations over a meal.

Perhaps in this journey of church planting—you can get a bit lost in the weariness but His faithful care leads us back. To His mission. To His order. To His truth. If a church is meant to exemplify family, how do we drop all we’ve known and build His house that breeds a fresh air for the lost, vulnerable, and the hurting? We are learning how to lean into this each day as God to strengthens our fellowship and devotion unto Him. By the way of His Spirit. By the love of God’s discipline. By the tearing off of shame. By the quiet whispers to not quit and hang on a little bit longer for His direction when it can feel easier to do it in our own strength. To lay down our plans and pivot for His each time He speaks.

Rebuilding that will continue to take:

Reconciling
Remaining
Sending
Sifting
Travailing
Repenting
Rejoicing
Peacemaking
Bridge-building
And, pioneering with God as He establishes His heart for reviving, renewing, and restoring city ruins.

16-months in this city and here is what is keeping us encouraged from Nehemiah 6:9 “….. But now, my God, strengthen my hands.” There is more for His mission.

-Signed,
Hopeful hearts not giving up.

Through prayer, we have sensed the Lord highlighting that Mission 418 Church will exemplify returning the heart of God’s people to the foundation of family again.
-
September and October is a new season of pioneering outreach efforts to disciple generations through education, practical support, and community care.
-
God’s mission for family is to bring restoration for the freedom of sons and daughters to collectively walk together in being called up in their God-given identity.
-
We’re gearing up to serve families through Missio Dei Learning Academy (spots still available) and outreach to moms and dads walking through an unexpected pregnancy through Embrace Grace (date TBA). In Jesus name, may we see a rising of families on mission in this hour, from young to old, single or married. Revive the dynamic of family in cities, regions, and nations!

Lord, return us.
Return us to the heart of worship.
Return your Bride to humility.
Return your Bride to health.
Return your Bride to unity.
Return your Bride to the fear of the Lord.
Return our love for you, your church, and one another.

As Christians, we have a very specific mandate and mission. It’s not our own mission; it is the ‘Mission of God’. In Latin, this term is referred to as the Missio Dei.

This term essentially reflects the plan of redemption that is illuminated throughout Scripture from creation to final judgment. It’s a term that has been popular in missiology, or the study of missions.

The objective of God’s mission is not just to bring people to church, but to bring people into relationship with Him.

Our role within the mission may look different in HOW it is carried out due to unique skills and giftings, but in everything, it is ALWAYS a benefit to others, not self-glory or self-promotion.

It is about
hope,
healing,
and freedom.

Lord, help our hearts to grow in the mission of God, for His glory.
