Every church has a place in God's mission.

At Synod 2026, Thrive shared a message of hope and renewal: healthy churches aren't perfect churches, they are communities centered on Jesus and open to the work of the Holy Spirit. No matter where your congregation is in its journey, God continues to use ordinary churches to bear fruit and further Christ's mission.

Over the next week, nearly 200 delegates representing all 49 of the CRCNA’s regional bodies (classes) will gather on the campus of Calvin University to pray and deliberate as part of Synod 2026 (June 12–18).

Synod is the CRCNA’s broadest ecclesiastical assembly and is responsible for discerning and setting the vision and direction for our ministries, our 49 classes, and the 940 churches that make up our denomination.

Please join us in prayer that all delegates and CRCNA representatives will hear and faithfully respond to the Holy Spirit’s guidance for our shared ministry.

A few weeks ago, Elaine May, Thrive’s Lead Ministry Consultant, hosted a Thriving in Mission event at Duncan CRC in British Columbia.

And the impact was immediate. One participant shared: “On a personal level, this made me feel ignited in moving forward in the areas God is asking me to step into. I want to participate in creating a healthy future.”

Moments like these are a reminder that faithful conversations can spark meaningful change in a church community.

“Unity in Diversity! Apart Together, Yet Together!” ❤️

This year’s Korean Ministers Association Annual Gathering brought together Korean-speaking and English-speaking pastors from across North America for worship, learning, prayer, and fellowship — creating space for deeper connection across generations, cultures, and ministry contexts.

We’re grateful for leaders like Lesli van Milligen who continue to champion listening, collaboration, and flourishing churches across the CRCNA.

Church administrators play an essential role in the health and day-to-day ministry of a congregation. Depending on the size of a church, that role may belong to one person or to an entire team. Either way, these individuals are often serving behind the scenes, carrying a wide range of responsibilities that keep ministry moving forward.

Seven years ago, leaders at Faith Christian Reformed Church in Pella, Iowa, asked a question many churches are wrestling with: How do we help youth and adults grow together in a real, lasting discipleship relationship?

What followed wasn’t a quick fix...it was a thoughtful approach that’s bringing generations into deeper connection and shared faith.

Read how they’re answering that question through their program, Elevate: https://loom.ly/S6IF714
