For our neighborhood community building gathering in October, we had a great time meeting neighbors and various animals and creatures 😉 at the Halloween Hospitality station and neighborhood trick or treat scavenger hunt. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and who participated in the scavenger hunt. What a great time!

The November neighborhood community building gathering is coming up this Sunday afternoon. Join us this Sunday, November 23, at 4:00 for some BINGO. Prizes will be given to our game winners. Everyone is welcome. Bring a neighbor. Meet a neighbor.

This past Saturday, a great group of people showed up for Service Saturday. We partnered with Volunteers in Service who connected us with five different neighbors in our community who needed help with some fall clean up projects that they were unable to do on their own. It was a blessing to help out and encourage them on a beautiful and warm fall day. If you would like to help out those in your community in similar ways, please google Volunteers in Service and give them a call. They are always looking for volunteers who are willing to serve and help.

Cutlerville Neighborhood Group neighbors, when you are out and about Trick or Treating this coming Friday night, be sure to stop by the Halloween Hospitality Station at Covenant Church.

Stop by to connect with neighbors, enjoy some refreshments (cider, donut holes, and hot chocolate), and to pick up your neighborhood scavenger hunt card to win prizes.

This coming Sunday, September 28, is National Good Neighbor Day. The National Good Neighbor Day seeks “to make the world a better place, one neighborhood at a time.” Do you seek the same thing for your neighborhood? We do.

Join us this Sunday afternoon as we kick off a series of “Fall Fun on the Lawn” community building gatherings that seek to create connections with people and build a sense of belonging while counteracting the epidemic of loneliness that pervades our culture and community.

At our first gathering this Sunday, from 4:00 - 5:30 pm, we will be playing some co****le and/or putting our creative skills to work with sidewalk chalk.

Which neighbor or co-worker do you know who loves to play co****le? Who could you invite to join you at one or both of these activities?

Remember, all of these community building gatherings are open to EVERYONE. Bring a neighbor. Meet a neighbor.

It’s starting to rain here fairly steady now, so we wanted to remind you that if the rain continues, we will have the corn hole competition indoors tonight. We are all set up and ready to go inside. Come to play or just come to hang out and watch the teams compete.

Just don’t let the weather deter you from coming to have some fun tonight.

Join us tomorrow night at 6:30pm for the 3rd Wednesday Nights on the Lawn community building gathering:

A Co****le Tournament

Find a partner and come join the fun as you compete against other teams in the double elimination tournament. Don’t have a partner yet? No worries. We will do our best to match you with a partner.

Remember, these gatherings are open to everyone. Bring a neighbor. Meet a neighbor.

The weather forecast looks like it won’t be as hot tomorrow night. But, if it’s too hot or it decides to rain, we will move the competition indoors. Don’t let the weather stop you from joining the fun.

Thanks to everyone who came out for the Jigsaw Puzzle Team Competition last night. It was great to meet some new people while puzzling together.

Team 'Getting Jiggy With It' was a well-tuned machine, working together efficiently to complete their puzzle first in just over a half hour at 30:42. Well done!

Team 'BJADLES', not too far behind, finished the puzzle in second place at 36:23.

Team 'Somewhere in the Middle' seemed to know from the start where they might finish. In 3rd place with a time of 37:13...right in the middle.

Team 'The Slowish Lightning Pieces' finished their puzzle in 4th place with a time of 57:09. Way to go.

Team 'PTS...the Alphabet' finished their puzzle just a few minutes later in 5th place with a time of 1:03:05.

And last but not least, team 'The Chicken Nuggets', finished in 6th place with a time of 1:14:17.

Congrats to all our teams for finishing their puzzle!

Join us TONIGHT for the next Wednesday Nights on The Lawn community building gathering:

The Jigsaw Puzzle Team Competition

It’s not too late to join the fun. Gather a group of up to 8 people for a team or join a team when you arrive tonight. The first team to complete the puzzle in the least amount of time will be the winner.

Because it’s soooo hot today, we will be holding the competition indoors where it’s cooler. Please don’t let the heat deter you from partcipating. After the competition is complete, we will have some ice cream treats to enjoy.

The Jigsaw Puzzle Team Competition

Teams are signing up to compete in the fun. Have you signed up your team yet? It’s not too late yet. Gather a group of up to 8 people for a team or join a team when you get there tomorrow night.

The first team to complete the puzzle in the least amount of time will be the winner.
