“The God of the Bible isn’t a being that you understand. The point is to know and be known by this God so that we can participate in His love.”

This past Sunday, we talked about the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It's something that can be hard to wrap our heads around.

This video from the Bible Project does a good job of breaking it down, but still, even when we don't fully comprehend who God is, we can remember that God fully comprehends who we are.

Although the exact word "trinity" is never mentioned in the Bible, the truth of a triune God is still revealed throughout Scripture.

For example, Jesus' baptism (Matthew 3:16–17) is a powerful moment, detailing that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are living and active. God in three persons may stretch our understanding, but we don't have to be afraid of the mystery.

Author, Word, Translator.

Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit . . . all working in perfect unity for our salvation.

This Sunday, we'll celebrate Pentecost! 🔥

Although it's not as well-known as other Church holidays like Christmas and Easter, this day marks an important moment in God's story—when the Holy Spirit was poured out upon Jesus' Apostles.

If you'd like to learn more about this special day, check out this article from The Bible Project.

And be sure to join us this Sunday at 10 as we celebrate with a unique worship service!

Explore the historical and biblical meaning of Pentecost and its significance as the birth of the Church and the start of a new world.
