When conflict broke out in the Middle East earlier this year, the English Language Congregation (ELC) in Bahrain gathered online for the first six weeks of the war. Setting aside offerings during that uncertain season, the congregation chose generosity — increasing their commitment to provide food, housing, and practical care to those in need both inside and outside their community.

Then came Easter Sunday. Meeting in person for the first time in weeks, the ELC gathered to worship — and to witness something remarkable: dozens of new believers were baptized and professed their faith in Jesus Christ.

This is the gospel in action. Thank you for praying for, encouraging, and financially supporting the ministry of missionaries like Blaine Newhouse and the ELC in Bahrain. Stories like this one are made possible by your faithful partnership. 🙏

The recent Colombian elections reminded RCA missionaries Andrew and Amy Fields why the ministry of the seminary where they serve in Medellín is so vital:

"In the midst of so much polarization and vitriol, we gather together around Scripture with students from all different regional, political, socio-economic, cultural, and denominational backgrounds. We have the privilege of forming men and women who are grounded in God’s life-giving Word and Spirit in order to lead the church to live in a new obedience which can open new possibilities of life for society and the world (paraphrasing the Belhar Confession). God is on the move in Europe! ✨

This past weekend, four groups of young adults from North America visited our church planting partners in Romania, Germany, Portugal, and the Netherlands. They experienced the culture, context, and worshipping spaces in each country. They learned from the people on the ground doing this good work. Now, the group has reconvened together in the Netherlands to debrief. We can’t wait to hear how God works through this trip as the young adults return home later this week. ✈️

Pastor Richard Byenda has been leading his congregation in the Democratic Republic of Congo through 14+ years of instability — and he's been doing it without access to theological training. Now, a partnership between RCA churches in Canada and RCA missionary Tom Johnson is changing that. This is a story worth reading. 👇
