Join in partnering with Northlawn and North End Community Ministries (NECM) as we set up and serve a hot meal to our neighbors at the weekly Supper House meal. Every week people all over the Northeast side gather together and enjoy a free hot meal, enjoying each other’s company as well as building community with our fellow neighbors. We are looking for 6-8 volunteers for 4:45 - 6:30pm at New City Church (214 Spencer St NE) on Tuesday, June 9 and you can sign up on the sheet in the Narthex, commenting "Sign me up!" on this post, or by emailing [email protected] . Let us partner together by serving our neighbors in need!

Spring has sprung! As the weather continues to improve and our hearts follow, we celebrate the God who makes all things new throughout the whole year and our throughout our lives.

As you appreciate and welcome the beauty of nature and springtime today and this week, take a moment to pause and thank God for how all things are made new in your life.

We hope to see you THIS SUNDAY at 9:45 for a beautiful morning of connecting with God and with community through worship together. If you don't already have your outfit picked out for tomorrow, WEAR RED as we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost Sunday! See you soon!

Wearing red on Pentecost is a great tradition: it’s an outward sign of the inward transformation by the Holy Spirit in each of our hearts. As “tongues of fire” came to rest on these disciples on that first Pentecost long ago (Acts 2:1-21), we gather together and then leave still blazing with the fire of hope God offers all through God’s Spirit. The red is a sign that the good news of Jesus came to all who were there in a language they could understand from people with whom they would not otherwise have communicated.

We hope that you join us in worship as we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit and our togetherness through this gift. Even if you don't wear red, you are welcome here!

This month at Northlawn has been one of pure joy! We welcomed seven new members into the community and celebrated the baptism of two very special girls! We firmly believe that every disciple, from the youngest to the oldest, has a special place in our community, gifts to share, and a story to tell.

Jesus invites all of us to be a part of his bigger story and through Baptism and membership, we can live as a part of the Body of Christ in the local church. Welcome to the family everyone!

What a beautiful day of celebration and calling! Today we worshipped together under the leadership of our kids and youth! Thank you to everyone who stepped up and used their gifts from God to read, pray, sing, serve, and connect with everyone today!

It was an extra special day as we also celebrated the baptism of Margot and Sylvie! Welcome to the family of God, girls!

At Northlawn UMC we strive to be a place where all generations can worship God together, draw closer to Christ, and draw closer in community with each other.
