Timothy Leadership Training Program

Timothy Leadership Training Program Timothy Leadership Training Program provides educational resources to ministry leaders without means of formal education.

The Timothy Leadership Training Institute (TLTI) began in 1997 after retired Calvin Theological Seminary professors and active missionaries desired to train pastors who had not had opportunities for formal religious training. The training manuals used to instruct these pastors use inductive-style teaching, allowing anyone who has previously received training to facilitate their own group. The des

ire is that these newly trained pastors go back to their congregations and train their church leaders and lay pastors. TLTI is in the business of training trainers. Its ultimate goal is to help churches become self-sustainable. TLTI was launched as an inter-denominational training institute. The program was first piloted in Africa and was then known as Project Africa. The success of the teaching curriculum soon caught fire and currently, TLTI has grown to training in over 50 countries and tracking just first-generation participants, TLTI has trained well over 10,000 trainees. The training manuals are currently available in 18 languages. Our mandate comes from 2 Timothy 2:2: "The things you have heard me teach before many witnesses, commit to faithful people who shall be able to teach others also."
