June is Refugee Awareness Month, and at TLC, we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Bridge of Hope! Bridge of Hope is a ministry that comes alongside refugee families as they begin building a new life in Grand Rapids. 💙

Today, we're grateful for Mr. Dan, a Bridge of Hope group member (far right), and his reflection on being a part of this ministry:

"There are numerous events and circumstances that have richly impacted me, but one stands out! During an important discussion with Abdul( the Father) in answering an economic problem, he said to me “I love you and trust you as my brother!” That so encouraged me as though it came from our Lord in Heaven!"

We're thankful for people like Dan who are helping create a sense of belonging, hope, and community for families as they put down roots in West Michigan!

Join us for Faith In Action, caring for our refugee neighbors!

DETAILS:
-Dinner will be provided.

-Due to recent disruptions in the refugee care system, families are at risk of losing housing. Bridge of Hope has been asked to help fill that gap, and we are looking for individuals willing to walk alongside a family as they move toward stability. This is an opportunity for you to step directly into the life of a family in need.

-This evening will give you everything you need to discern a clear picture of what is happening with refugee families locally, a practical pathway for you to get involved, and guidance on how to support families in a way that is both effective and sustainable.
