We come from a tradition that believes service is its own kind of patriotism. So today, alongside the fireworks and the flags, we're grateful for that too.

The Philiptochos National Conference concluded today in Cleveland, OH. We extend our gratitude to our Metropolis of Pittsburgh Philoptochos Sisters for their diligent efforts, exceptional organization, and warm fellowship. We had a truly enriching experience. We are humbled, honored, and grateful to have been selected for the Agape Outreach Award for the Detroit Metropolis. We are an army of agape!

Metropolis of Detroit delegates at the National Philoptochos Convention in Cleveland, OH

Our Ladies Philoptochos Society gathered to distribute over $10,000 to charitable causes, within Orthodoxy and beyond. Members also brought flowers to later be used to create bouquets at the "Bloom Bar." Glory to God for these dedicated women, who help lead us in serving "the least of these" - the vulnerable and overlooked - who are Christ Himself.
