Yesterday was an awesome day for the HBC Kids.

First in Kids Connection we continued a review of the Lesson series on Acts and then played a game that when I first I read about it, I thought was goofy. I was way wrong, they loved it and we played three rounds before time was up.

Then last night was a very special night for one of the Olympians. A young girl has never wanted to participate in game time. So a few weeks back I sat on the floor with her and asked if there were any games she did like to play. She said volleyball with balloons. I said ok, how about with a beach ball. She said she would play. Last night she played her first game in Olympians. We now call it Olympian Beach Volleyball.

This morning went really well with the review of the first four lessons from the thirteen week curriculum. Generated some good thought provoking ideas for the kids to ponder in their young lives.
We are looking forward to the next curriculum but will probably have to wait another week for it. God is sovereign and knows what we need more than we do so we are best to take His lead.

Last week was a busy Sunday for me. I returned form Maryland late Saturday night, Had Kids Connection Sunday morning, the meeting in the early after noon and Olympians at night. To top that off, it was a drive to Columbus as I had to be in class on Monday morning. Despite all the craziness on Sunday, I did manage to get a 15 min power nap in. Yeah!

Opps! I forgot this. Monday night the Deacons agreed that the church would match what the Olympian kids raised for Dale Nolan and the projector fund. $406.18 was the check that went out to the Nolan's.

Last Sunday went really well for both the morning and evening events. Kids Connection in the morning we finished up on Paul's missionary (prisoner) trip to Rome to fulfill Gods sovereign plan for Paul.
At night during Olympians the lessons all went well and game time was Olympian bowling. During opening our WOL missionaries Dale & Sue Nolan were present. The kids raised a little over $200 to give to Dale towards the purchase of a new projector that he needs to make presentations as he travels to churches. All in all, a great night!

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. we are splitting a lesson so we will have to see how that works out. A couple of leaders are MIA, Yeah Ha!

Last week went really well and we are looking forward to this week to see how Paul works through prophetically bad news.

Did we have a chaotic and fun time last week? After a binary exorcism to the computer, Easy Worship worked fine.

The 9:00 hour was a trial in digital media. Mark had put images from the lesson on DVD so they could be pulled up on the screens in the rooms. Don't know if it was a flying success at this point but we look forward to feedback as we would like to streamline that whole end of the lesson.

The 11:00 hour was interesting. We got a little late getting up to the balcony but we did make it. Getting down was another story. We were to come down at the start of announcements and ended up stampeding down the stairs during offering. Oops! While we were al whispering to the kids to be quite the boys would make a giant leap onto the base drum known as the landing.

It was all fun to see kids being kids.

THIS WEEK MARCH 3, 2013
We are on Lesson 11 from Acts 19:1-7 focusing on Paul's early work at Ephesus. The screen verse during opening will be is 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 which focuses on our labor in diverse conditions.
Also we will be moving the 11:00 hour to the new format discussed in the meeting last week. Kids in the auditorium until announcements and then back to the gym.
