What is joy?

Joy is a response to something outside of us that causes delight within us.

Our joy isn’t found in perfect circumstances. It isn’t dependent on how easy life is or whether everything is going according to plan. Our joy is rooted in the unchanging truth that God loves us and Jesus is alive.

Because He called us out of darkness and into His glorious day, we can rejoice in every season and circumstance.

✨ Joy isn’t the absence of hardship.
✨ Joy is the presence of Jesus.
✨ Joy is knowing we are loved.
✨ Joy is celebrating that the grave is empty and our Savior lives.

No matter what season you’re walking through today, remember:

“Now Your mercy has saved my soul.
Now Your freedom is all that I know.”

Jesus is alive, and that is reason enough to rejoice. 🙌
