Dear Friends,

After closely monitoring the weather and consulting with other churches in the area, we have made the difficult decision to cancel both the English and Bilingual worship services tomorrow, November 30, 2025, at Eastern.

The safety of our congregation was at the forefront of this decision. With continued snowfall, difficult road conditions, and a Winter Storm Warning that does not end until 10 am, we want to ensure that everyone, especially those who travel early or from a distance, remains safe.

We encourage you to stay home, stay warm, and care for yourselves and your neighbors. We look forward to gathering for worship on December 7.

Attention Young Adults!

College & Career Continental Breakfast begins this Sunday. Every Sunday while school is in session Eastern will host a continental breakfast for all College & Career Young Adults (post high school through mid/late twenties). This is an opportunity for you to connect with each other and your breakfast hosts. This will be held in the Community Room (beside the kitchen).

Building Manager

Eastern Avenue Christian Reformed Church seeks a skilled, knowledgeable, servant-leading team player for our next Building Manager. In this part-time, hourly position, you will collaborate on planning, prioritizing, and implementing all building maintenance initiatives with a particular emphasis on larger capital projects. Your experience in coordinating the work of contractors, your knowledge of building systems and minor repairs, and your flexibility in meeting the buildings and grounds needs of diverse communities and events will be key to your role. As our Building Manager, you manage and maintain our facilities to ensure we fulfill our vision and mission. You embody a transformational love of Jesus Christ and share a passion for urban ministry through facilities management. Your leadership builds and nurtures a Christ-like community among our diverse worshippers. Your ability to speak both Spanish and English is a plus.

Eastern Avenue Christian Reformed Church seeks a knowledgeable, musically gifted, creative Director of Worship Arts. In this full-time, salaried position, you will plan and lead the worship ministry of the church, with particular emphasis on music, liturgy, and visual and performing arts. Your experience in using a variety of arts in worship ministry, as well as your ability to cross cultural boundaries will be key to your role. As our Director of Worship Arts, you plan God-glorifying worship services. You will collaborate on selecting music, writing liturgies, and developing the skills of musicians, singers, and artists of all ages and talents. You embody a transformational love of Jesus Christ and share a passion for urban ministry through arts in worship. Your leadership builds and nurtures a Christ-like community among our diverse worshippers. Your ability to speak both Spanish and English is a plus.
