Research shows very few people are truly engaged at work. Many aren't finding meaning or purpose in what they do with most of their waking hours.

We believe God doesn't want it to be that way. That's why we're hosting the Work & Worship Seminar at our church on Jan. 31 from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. We'll hear from Dr. Cory Willson, have times of worship together, and meet in breakout sessions by vocation to make everything practical!

We're in a friendship recession, with a third of people experiencing serious loneliness. We're not flourishing at work either, with only 15 percent finding meaning and purpose. God wants more for us than this. He wants us to do more than just survive. He wants us to thrive! This Sunday at 10 am, we're starting a new series all about how to thrive in all areas of life. What do you do when life gets hard and you're tempted to turn away from God? Would it surprise you that Scripture never asks us to conceal how we feel? No, it invites us to bring everything to God, and it even models how to do that well. That's what the book of Psalms is all about -- God's invitation to boldly approach him with affection and vulnerability, living all of life with him.

We are excited to welcome Kevin, Christine, Ben, and Craig to our church council. They have begun serving three-year terms with our other elders and deacons to help lead, guide, and shepherd our congregation. Godly leadership is a gift from God, so please take a moment to thank them for accepting this calling when you see them at church!

As Pastor Eric completes the final two weeks of his sabbatical, please continue to lift him up in your prayers. We know that God is using this time to refresh and renew Eric's soul and to fill him with passion and energy for his future with us! We can't wait to have him back mid-June!
