In Luke 4:24, Jesus states: "Truly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in his hometown let me break it down Familiar places don't adjust to new versions of you. They tried to pull you back. Just confirmation that you're growing. Even the Bible says, leave your hometown. Even Jesus says no Prophet is accepted in his home town. The people who have watched you grow up, have the hardest time respecting who you are becoming. They remember the old version of you. that's the one they are comfortable with. So when you changed, it feels wrong to them. Not because you're wrong because you are different now.
