Praise the Lord Saints!
I’m going to be teaching a little miniseries on prayer
The word of the Lord tonight is coming from Luke chapter 9 verse 28
And it reads
''About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray.
Now Jesus had just got done teaching and on the eighth day he chose three of his disciples Peter James and John to go to the mountain with him to pray''
In your own time of reading, if you go back to the other verses, you will see Jesus was teaching, and he even mentioned about his death to come, so Jesus had a heavy heart, but he wanted Peter James and John to go with him to the mountain to pray with him. As we all know, Jesus had 12 disciples, but he chose those three to go with him to the mountain top who will later on be Peter the rock, John, the revelator, and James, the brother of Jesus.So Jesus took those three with him to the mountain
I know there are times in your life that you have been going through some rough things and you felt like you couldn’t get a prayer through. You felt like you were all alone and sometimes you need someone who you can trust someone you know who knows how to pray to pray with you to stand in the gap with you
Sometimes it’s hard to find someone you can trust who were really pray with you when they say they’re going to pray with you. Sometimes you may feel frustrated because people say oh I will pray for you, but they really don’t do it and it’s very hard to even find someone who will really stand in the gap with you to get a breakthrough that you need from the Lord. I hope that there is someone in your life that you can pick three or even two that are willing to help you with your prayer when it is urgent.
The Bible also says And it reads in Matthew 18:19-20
19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
I pray for each of you, when you really need someone to stand in the gap, follow the directions that even Jesus gave. He even follows His own Word. Try to find someone you believe will stand in the gap for you and agree with you so that you can receive from the Lord. I’m not saying that you won’t receive your answer, if you pray alone, but according to the scriptures, there are some promises that will come forth by following the instructions given. Tonight is going to be short because I am breaking each verse up into pieces so that way each of you can go through them and follow the teachings that will be given in each of them so I will see you tomorrow for the next part. Father, I pray, in the name of Jesus that you will send prayer warriors to stand in the gap for your people. Someone who has your heart. Someone who knows how to press when they’re praying. Someone who really cares to see that the person they are praying for receive their breakthrough. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus that you will bless each and everyone tonight in Jesus mighty name Amen.
