A Labor Day Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of work and for the talents You have given us. Help us use our gifts with humility, diligence, and love to serve others and contribute to the good of our families, communities, and nation.

Bless all who labor, especially those whose work is difficult or unseen. May our efforts be fruitful, our work honorable, and our hands always ready to serve.

May we glorify you in all that we do.

Happy Sunday! Here are the Mass Announcements for 9/6

📣This weekend, we have a second collection for our Campus Maintenance and Improvement Fund. You can support our parish by giving in pew or online at stmichaelgptx.org/give. We thank you for your generosity!

✝️Next Sunday, September 13th, we will have a ministry fair after all the Masses. We encourage you to pray about how you can participate and serve and be an active part of our St. Michael Community. This will also be a time for new families to register as members of our parish as well as returning members to update their contact information as needed. A reminder, by Diocesan standard, all individuals ages 18yrs and over must be registered on their own even if they reside in the same home as their parents/family.

📣Early giving for North Texas day has begun! This year we are raising money for an updated sound system in Trinh Hall. Our goal is $8000. With your help, we will be able to reach it. To support this cause, visit stmichaelgptx.org/ntxgivingday

🎉Get ready for the feast of St. Michael on September 29th! We will have a Blue Mass in honor of First Responders and we will pray for their protection. All are invited to join to show them our support and appreciation. A celebration and reception will follow in Trinh Hall.

📣There will be a special Mass for Labor Day on Monday, September 7th at 9am. The evening 6pm Mass is cancelled and Parish Office will be closed.

This week, Fr. Mark Salas from Our Lady of the Assumption in El Paso visited St. Michael to conduct a retreat for our staff and a formation night for our English and Spanish Ministries.
We are so grateful for his time and all the knowledge he shared with us so we can better serve our parishioners.

Happy Sunday! Here are the Mass Announcements for 8/30

📣Our Young Adults invite everyone ages 18-39 to their weekly meetings on Thursdays at 7pm in the Brides Room. Please see the flyer below to be added to the group.

📣The Parish office will be closed on Monday, August 31st for a staff retreat. The 6pm Mass will continue as scheduled. Following the Mass, there will be a Ministry Formation Night in the Sanctuary. This event is open to anyone who is part of a ministry of interested in joining. All ministry leaders are required to attend

📣Following Labor Day, our Youth Group will meet every Sunday at 2:30 PM in Room 202/203, our brand-new Youth Room! All middle and high school students are invited to join. Come hang out, meet new friends, and be part of our Youth Group community!

This Wednesday our St. Michael Millions of Monicas prayer group is celebrating their first anniversary. We are glad we have this ministry in our midst!

Join us this Wednesday in the chapel inside Trinh Hall for our Prayer Meeting. We’ll gather in prayer, fellowship, and gratitude—and then keep the celebration going with a fun Cookie Exchange! 🍪✨

Here’s how it works: Bring 1–2 dozen of your favorite cookies to share. We’ll exchange cookies so everyone can take home a delicious assortment of goodies!

Ziplock bags will be provided, so you’ll have an easy way to package up your treats and take home your cookie collection.

Here are the Mass Announcements for the weekend 8/23

📣There will be a Ministry Formation Night on Monday, August 31st from 6:30pm-8:30pm in the Sanctuary. It is mandatory for All Ministry leaders to attend but is also open to anyone who is part of a Ministry or is interested in serving in a parish ministry.

📣Our Senior Citizens will be kicking off their first luncheon after the summer break on Monday, September 14th at 11am. There will be food, fellowship and bingo. This is a free event and we welcome all seniors to attend. Please see the flyer below for details and bring a dessert to share!

📣This year for North Texas Giving Day on September 17th we will be fundraising for the sound system in Trinh Hall. Early Giving begins August 27th and is live on our Parish Website. Our goal for this year is $8000. This fundraiser will help provide a more reliable sound system for our ministries and others that use Trinh Hall for presentations, retreats, and events. Through your generosity, our hope is to enhance participation and create a better experience for all who gather.

📣As a reminder, Faith Formation classes begin this week at 9:30am on Sundays and 6:30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We look forwards to welcoming our students and pray they have a fruitful & sucessfull academic year.
