NEEDS:
baby lotion
baby wash/shampoo combo
baby brush/comb
baby washcloths+hooded towels
diaper rash cream
baby socks / baby clippers
MOST of these items are easily, (and quite reasonable), found at Dollar Tree.
The House is wrapping up their reset time, and re-opening to guests on Monday, June 1st.
They are more than happy to receive your thoughtful donations 💕

The Woods UMC was honored to again be invited to attend as guests at the
38th Annual NAACP Freedom Fund Scholarship Banquet.
Our very own Pastor Lesta Anderson offered the Invocation, as well as presenting each scholarship recipient from GPISD with their award and medal, signifying their continued support by our community. These recipients were recognized by NAACP-Grand Prairie and president of 20 years, Dr Angela Luckey.
We were blessed to attend this very special banquet event, and proud to support the futures in each student that was rewarded as they move into continuing their higher education.

Scout Troop 498 since 1980.
They serve their community in many ways, and this morning, we were blessed to have them join us in posting the colors in recognition of a very special day, Memorial Day.
Please take a moment to remember the many soldiers who sacrificed everything for our freedoms. Amen.

May is Foster Care Awareness Month ❤️

This month, we recognize the thousands of children who enter foster care each year — often suddenly and during incredibly difficult circumstances.

Behind every number is a child with a story.
A child leaving home.
Siblings trying to stay together.
Caseworkers working tirelessly to keep children safe.

At Isaiah 117 House, we step into one of the hardest moments in a child’s life — the moment they are removed from their home — and meet them with comfort, care, and love.

A soft place to land.
Clean clothes.
A warm meal.
A safe space to play.
And people who remind them they are seen, valued, and not alone.

Foster Care Awareness Month is about more than awareness, it’s about action. Whether you give, volunteer, pray, or share our mission, you are helping bring hope and comfort to children and families in crisis.

Because every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and never alone. ❤️🏡
