🌿 DEVOTIONAL: A NATION EXALTED
📖 Proverbs 14:34
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.”
Proverbs teaches us that true wisdom begins with God and is reflected in the way we live. This verse presents a clear contrast: righteousness exalts, but sin brings disgrace and shame.
The greatness of a nation is not determined solely by the size of its territory, its military strength, its wealth, or even by those who govern it. In God’s eyes, righteousness is what truly exalts a people.
Righteousness begins with us and in our homes: speaking the truth, keeping our word, treating others with respect, admitting our mistakes, and doing what is right even when no one is watching.
If we want a different society, let’s start at home. Let’s live with integrity and teach by our example, because the righteousness we practice honors God, while the sin we tolerate brings disgrace.

“La justicia engrandece a la nación; pero el pecado es afrenta de las naciones.”
Proverbios enseña que la verdadera sabiduría comienza con Dios y se refleja en nuestra manera de vivir. Este versículo presenta un contraste: la justicia engrandece, pero el pecado trae afrenta y vergüenza.
La grandeza de una nación no se determina solamente por la extensión de su territorio, su fuerza militar, su riqueza o aun por quienes la gobiernan. Delante de Dios, la justicia es la que verdaderamente engrandece a un pueblo.
La justicia comienza en nosotros y en nuestro hogar: hablando con verdad, cumpliendo nuestra palabra, tratando a los demás con respeto, reconociendo nuestros errores y haciendo lo correcto aun cuando nadie nos ve.
Si queremos una sociedad diferente, empecemos en casa. Vivamos con integridad y enseñemos con nuestro ejemplo, porque la justicia que practicamos honra a Dios, mientras que el pecado que toleramos trae afrenta.
