ANNOUNCEMENTS & WORSHIP RESOURCES 06/07/2026
*We will be celebrating Holy Communion in worship today. If you are worshipping with us online and wish to commune, you’ll want to have bread/crackers and juice/wine ready to go.
*We begin our summer sermon series, journeying through Genesis today in Genesis chapter 12 with the call of Abram.
*The council will meet this Tuesday, June 9th at 6:00pm in the old pastor’s study.
*The Grand Meadow WELCA group will meet this Wednesday, June 10th at 1:30pm. All women of the congregation are invited to attend.
*There will be a Red Cross Blood Drive in the fellowship hall this Thursday, June 11th from 12:00pm-6:00pm.
*The Grand Meadow Women of the ELCA (WELCA) Bakeless Bake Sale raised $1,000! Thank you so much to all who so generously gave to support the WELCA group’s work! Thank you!
*Goodstock 2026 will be held at Good Earth Village on Saturday June 20th and Sunday June 21st. On Saturday June 20th there will be a color trail run, live music, family fun zone, wagon rides, and a bonfire. On Sunday June 21st there will be coffee and rolls in log lodge and an outdoor worship service! For more information and to register for the color trail run visit https://goodearthvillage.org/goodstock/.
*Our cleaning crew from Next Step is done for the summer; we’ll look forward to having them resume in September. In the meantime, we’re going to handle the cleaning ourselves so if you are willing to help us out, we’d greatly appreciate it! There is a checklist of tasks in the kitchen.
*Amanda and Nikki are looking for another adult volunteer to help with Sunday School starting in the fall. If interested, willing, or curious to learn more, please talk to one of them.
*The June coin offering will go to the Grand Meadow Area Ambulance.
*It takes many hands to make things happen here at church, to keep the life of our church going and our ministry happening. If you’d like to get more involved, we are in need of more volunteers to read in worship, run the camera and PowerPoints, be head usher, serve on the decorating committee, serve on altar guild, and help with coffee hour. If any of those sound like something you’d be willing to do, please talk to Joanne or Pastor Megan.
*Your continued giving and generosity is greatly appreciated and needed! Offerings can be brought to worship, or mailed to the church office, Nancy, or Diana. If you would like to set up online giving with Vanco please use this link: https://tinyurl.com/GMLCVanco

Confession and Forgiveness
In the name of the Father,
and of the ☩ Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Almighty God, to whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hid: cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you and worthily magnify your holy name, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another.
Silence is kept for reflection.
Gracious God,
have mercy on us. We confess that we have turned from you and given ourselves into the power of sin. We are truly sorry and humbly repent. In your compassion forgive us our sins, known and unknown, things we have done and things we have failed to do. Turn us again to you, and uphold us by your Spirit, so that we may live and serve you in newness of life through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.
Amen.
God, who is rich in mercy, loved us even when we were dead in sin, and made us alive together with Christ. By grace you have been saved. In the name of ☩ Jesus Christ, your sins are forgiven. Almighty God strengthen you with power through the Holy Spirit, that Christ may live in your hearts through faith.
Amen.

Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
