Anybody who has driven M-28 across the middle of the U.P. knows the Seney Stretch. 🛣️ For about 25 miles between Seney and Shingleton, the road runs dead straight through the Great Manistique Swamp, one of the longest arrow straight stretches of highway east of the Mississippi. No curves, no hills, not much of anything but tag alder, tamarack, and sky. Some folks find it hypnotic and some find it the longest 25 miles of their life, but every Yooper has a memory of watching that road run flat to the horizon. 🌲
