Are you having TROUBLE with Canvas?
1. Church Account Login
a. If your child has their own Church account, please have them log in to http://account.churchofjesuschrist.org/ and verify that their membership record number (MRN) and their current email address are showing in the system. This must be an email that is not connected to another church account. This should be an email address unique to them.
b. or if they don't have their own church account, please create an account using the link above. You will need their MRN, which you can find on their temple recommend, in membership tools under your child's membership information or contact your ward clerk. Please do not create a guest account.
c. More than one account? If a student has more than one church account and this happens often, make sure they use the church account username linked to their MRN or they will not be able to access Canvas. To have those accounts merged, you need to contact the Help Desk @ 801-240-4357. Trying to use a username not linked to their MRN is almost always the reason they can't connect to their class.
2. Ensure that your student logs into http://myseminary.churchofjesuschrist.org/ and has entered or verified their email address, test number, and text country. Have them use the information icon and verify or add that information. (It is the i with a circle around it) Be sure to SAVE. Next, make sure your student is registered (open scripture icon) and that your contact information is correct. You have the option of editing your own child's information, but they need to also log in with their own church account or they will not be connected.
