What an incredible way to wrap up the year at First Priority! Today wasn’t just another meeting — our students stepped up and led. Watching middle school students boldly lead, encourage one another, share their faith, and create a welcoming space for their peers was such a powerful reminder that God is moving in this generation.

We were blown away by the turnout with 42 seventh graders and 116 eighth graders joining us for the final gathering of the year! What started with simple invitations and student leadership has grown into something truly special inside our school community.

Thank you to every student leader who had the courage to say “yes,” every student who showed up, and every mentor, parent, and supporter who prayed for this ministry throughout the year. The year may be ending, but the impact is only beginning. Keep living boldly, inviting friends, and carrying this faith into summer and beyond!

One invitation can change everything. 💛

This week, Brynlee shares part of her story and how coming to Emmaus Small Group with her friend Evie has impacted her life this year. Brynlee is not Catholic, but because a friend simply invited her one night, she stepped into a community where she could ask big questions, learn about Scripture, explore the Catholic faith, and grow deeper in her spiritual life.

Watching students become curious about God, open their hearts, and seek truth is such a powerful reminder that the Holy Spirit is always at work. Please continue to pray for Brynlee as she continues discerning where God is leading her, including the possibility of becoming Catholic.

This is why invitation matters. Never underestimate the impact of asking a friend to come along.

Please also keep praying for all of our mentors and young people in Emmaus Groups — that they would continue to grow in courage, faith, friendship, and a deeper relationship with Jesus.

If you have a student who is looking for authentic community and a place to grow in faith, or if you feel called to mentor the next generation, reach out to Makenzie at [email protected] to learn more about Emmaus Groups!

☀️ Summer Sunday Streak Challenge is HERE! ☀️

This summer, we are challenging ALL 7th–12th grade students to keep the streak alive by attending Mass every Sunday all summer long! Each time you go to Mass, get your punch card signed by Fr. Dan—or by another priest if you are traveling! Visiting family? On vacation? At the lake? Find a Catholic church wherever you are and keep the streak going! ⛪✈️🌊 use masstimes.org to find a local church!

Every Mass attendance earns a punch on your card, and once your card is full, drop it into the jar for a chance to win BIG prizes at our Fall Kickoff Event! 🎉

This is open to ANY student, so invite your friends to join in too! Our hope is that this challenge helps students and families stay rooted in Jesus all summer long while making Mass a fun and meaningful part of your summer adventures.

Let’s make this a summer of faith, friendship, and Sunday Mass! 🙌

SHINE PHOTO DROP ✨📸
We finally got the professional photos back and WOW — what an incredible day it was for our parish family at Shine! From worship, to games, to friends, to powerful moments with Jesus… these pictures capture just a glimpse of everything. We are so thankful for every student and leader who came and made memories that will last far beyond one event. Seeing our parish show up with so much joy, energy, and openness to what God wanted to do was seriously amazing. 💛
Tag your friends, share your favorite memories, and get ready… because we’re already excited for what’s next 👀🔥

What happens when middle school students are given a space to grow in faith, ask questions, and be known? 💛

In this video, Kylie shares how her Emmaus Small Group has helped her experience God in a deeper way — especially through spending more time in Scripture and reading her Bible more consistently. As an 8th grader, she has discovered that faith is not just something for Sundays, but something personal and life-giving.

This is why Emmaus Groups matter. We want every student to have a community where they are encouraged, challenged, and reminded that they are not walking alone.

Parents — if you are looking for a place where your student can grow in their relationship with Jesus alongside faithful mentors and friends, we would love for them to be part of Emmaus Groups this upcoming year.

And for adults and young adults who feel called to invest in the next generation: students need mentors who are willing to show up, listen, lead, and walk with them in faith. You do not need to have all the answers — just a willing heart.

If you are interested in learning more about Emmaus Groups, signing your student up, or becoming a mentor, reach out to Makenzie!
