“Christ Centered Marriage”

The foundation of a Christian marriage is not simply romance, compatibility, or shared goals. It is a life of sacrificial worship to God, reflected in the marriage covenant. In this sermon, “Christ Centered Marriage,” we look at how marriage is meant to point beyond itself—to the love, sacrifice, humility, and faithfulness of Christ.
As Ephesians 5 teaches, husbands and wives are called to live in a way that reflects the gospel: walking in love, honoring Christ, and displaying the covenant relationship between Christ and His church.

Teen Ministry This Tuesday – A Special Follow-Up to the Creation Series

Last week, we wrapped up what was originally planned as the final lesson of our Creation Series. But as we looked back over everything we covered, there was one more important question we needed to bring into the conversation:

What does Jesus save us from, and what does He save us for?

So this week, we’re adding one final follow-up lesson:

Lesson 5: Restored by Jesus

Over the past few weeks, our teens have learned that God is the Creator, that He creates by His Word, that human beings are made in His image, and that we were created to reflect Him. This week, we’ll bring those truths to the good news of salvation.

God made us for Himself, but sin separates us from God and twists the life we were created to live. The good news is that Jesus was not God’s backup plan. The same Son of God who was there in creation came into the world to save sinners, forgive us, and make us new.

We’ll be exploring:

• Why sin is more serious than just “making mistakes”
• Why advice and trying harder are not enough
• How Jesus came to save sinners who could not save themselves
• What it means to receive salvation as a gift
• How Jesus makes us new and restores us to the life God created us for

Parents, we’d love for your teens to join us for this important follow-up lesson as we bring the Creation Series to a gospel-centered close.

“Looking Homeward: Returning to the Ancient Paths”

Pastor Terry shares a timely message from Jeremiah 6:16, calling the church to return to the ancient paths — the old, godly ways that lead to life, peace, wisdom, and rest for the soul.
This sermon challenges us to stop at the crossroads, look honestly at the direction of our lives, and choose God’s way over the confusion of the world. Pastor Terry points us back to Christ, who still says, “Come to Me… and you will find rest for your souls.”

Psalm 90:12
1 Chronicles 29:11–14
John 1:1–5, 14

Teen Ministry This Tuesday – Final Lesson of the Creation Series!

This week, our teens will finish our Creation Series with Lesson 4:

“Made to Reflect”

Over the past few weeks, we’ve talked about God as Creator, how He creates by His Word, and what it means that human beings are made in His image. Now we’re bringing the series to a close by asking:

Why did God create humans?

We’ll be looking at how God made us to know Him, worship Him, and reflect His goodness into the world around us. This final lesson will help our teens think about what their lives are reflecting through their words, choices, attitudes, relationships, service, and obedience.

We’ll be exploring:

• What it means that God crowned humans with honor and responsibility
• How our lives are meant to reflect God in ordinary, everyday ways
• Why Jesus makes us new for the good works God prepared for us
• How God’s people can show others His goodness

Parents, we’d love for your teens to join us as we wrap up this series and bring these truths together.

Who Defines You?

That question is shaping more lives than we realize.

This week, our teens are walking through something real—identity. Not the surface-level version the world talks about, but the deeper question underneath it all: Who actually gets to define who I am?

Every day, they’re being pulled in different directions—by friends, pressure, comparison, expectations, and feelings that don’t always make sense. And when identity is built on those things, it never feels steady.

But the Bible gives a different answer.

God doesn’t leave identity up for us to figure out. He defines it. He created us in His image, with purpose, value, and meaning that doesn’t change based on what others say or how we feel in the moment.

That truth changes everything—how we see ourselves, how we respond when we’re hurt, and how we treat the people around us.

“Be the Church that Refuses to Let Go”

In this final message from our Believing Loyalty series through James, we look at James 5:13–20 and the call to “Be the Church That Refuses to Let Go.” James closes his letter by showing us what real faith looks like inside the family of God. A loyal church prays in suffering, praises in blessing, gathers around the weak, brings sin into the light for healing instead of shame, and goes after those who wander from the truth. This passage reminds us that God does not call His people to suffer, struggle, confess, or drift alone. He calls us to be a church family marked by prayer, humility, restoration, and faithful love. If someone wanders, go after them. Be the church that refuses to let go. Scriptures: James 5:13–20 Romans 8:23 2 Corinthians 12:7–10 1 Corinthians 11:29–31 John 9:2–3 2 Peter 3:16

“Revelations 3.14-22 Laodicea”

The final of the 7 churches in Asia, Laodicea has deceived itself and has integrated itself so much into the imperial worship and culture surrounding it, that it is completely worthless as a witness for the gospel of Jesus Christ. There's many showing up week after week who are self deceived and have compromised so much with the current culture that they have no effectiveness as Christians.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁… 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻.

Most of us don’t notice when a pattern is forming. A thought we entertain. A reaction we repeat. A compromise we excuse. But over time, what felt small becomes strong.

Scripture tells us that the real battle begins in the mind:

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2
“Take every thought captive to obey Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:5

𝗛𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀… 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴.

And whatever we repeatedly think about, we eventually live out.

But God doesn’t just expose the problem—He gives us a way forward.

First, recognize the pattern. Ask God to search your thoughts (Psalm 139:23–24).

Second, replace the lie with truth. Fill that space with God’s Word (Philippians 4:8).

Third, repeat the new pattern daily. “Train yourself for godliness” (1 Timothy 4:7).

𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿—𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆… 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁.

The enemy works through subtle patterns over time. But so does God.

So today, don’t ignore the “small” thoughts. That’s where the chains begin.

And by God’s grace, that’s also where they are broken.
Let’s build habits that lead us toward Christ… not away from Him.
