Bay Family Church Connecting People to Jesus Christ and One Another. JOIN US THIS SUNDAY! | 9 AM

05/28/2026

Congratulations to all of our students, teachers, administrators, and staff for another successful school year! As summer begins, Summer Jam, VBS, camps, and weekly activities provide wonderful opportunities to share the love of Jesus with the next generation.

Scripture reminds us that each generation is called to pass down faith to the next. Young people are not just the future church, they are the church today. They need mentors who will encourage them, pray for them, and model authentic faith in a world searching for truth and purpose.

Ministry to the next generation often happens through simple acts of faithfulness: teaching, listening, leading small groups, attending events, or having meaningful conversations. God can use those moments to shape lives for eternity.

Please join me in praying for God to move in the lives of our Kids, Students, and Young Adults this summer, and ask how He may be calling you to serve the next generation for His glory.

Join me in praying for God to work in our Kids, Students, and Young Adults lives over the summer and ask God how He would have you serve the next generation for His glory.

I look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Invite a friend!

Today at BFC we learned about the importance of memorials, as we studied about the memorial of stones that Joshua built to remind the world of the power and faithfulness of God.

Every believer ought to have some stones in their memory:
• “This is where God saved me”
• “This is where God healed me.”
• “This is where God saved my family.”
• “This is where God provided my need.”

“Don’t let the devil erase your memory of God’s goodness.”

Your scars are stones.
Your survival is a stone.
Your testimony is a stone shouting, “Look what the Lord has done!”

Everyone went home with a stone today to remind them of God’s faithfulness and the promise of all that God can do in generations to come.

Memories vs. Miracles

We often pray for miracles: breakthrough, healing, provision, open doors. And God still performs miracles. But many believers overlook another powerful gift from God: memory.

A miracle may happen in a moment, but a memory can strengthen you for a lifetime.

When Israel crossed the Jordan River, God told Joshua to set up memorial stones so future generations would remember what God had done. The stones were not the miracle, the crossing was. But the memory of the miracle became fuel for future faith.

Sometimes we think, “If God would just do another miracle, I could keep going.” Yet God often calls us to remember before He does something new. David remembered the lion and the bear before he faced Goliath. The disciples were rebuked because they forgot the loaves. Memory matters because remembrance builds confidence in God’s character.

Miracles show God’s power. Memories preserve God’s faithfulness.

When today feels uncertain, revisit the moments where God carried you, answered you, protected you, and sustained you. The memory of yesterday’s miracle can become the strength for today’s battle.

I hope you will choose to worship with us this Sunday at 9:00AM as we learn more about the power of memories from Joshua 4.

Hey BFC!

In recent weeks we have seen God do amazing things in response to His people praying.

Let us remember that prayer is one of the greatest gifts God has given us. It is more than words spoken in a quiet moment, it is direct communication with the Creator who loves us deeply. Through prayer, hearts are strengthened, burdens are lifted, and peace replaces fear. Sometimes prayer changes our circumstances, and sometimes it changes us while we walk through them.

The Bible reminds us in James 5:16 that “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” Prayer has power because God hears every cry, every whisper, and every unspoken need. No situation is too small or too broken for Him.

When life feels overwhelming, prayer reminds us that we are never alone. It invites God into our struggles, decisions, and victories. Even when answers do not come immediately, prayer builds trust and draws us closer to Him.

I look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Invite a friend!

Honor is more than good manners or polite words; it is a posture of the heart. It is choosing to see the value in others, and treating them with dignity because of who they are, not just what they do.

Scripture reminds us in Romans 12:10: “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Honor calls us to lift others up, to listen before speaking, and to show respect even in disagreement. It challenges our pride and invites humility.

In a world that often celebrates self-promotion, honor looks different. It looks like encouraging a student who is struggling, respecting a colleague’s effort, or showing kindness when no one else is watching. It’s in the small, consistent choices we make every day.

Throughout the month of May we will study what Honor looks like in the heart of a Christian and take time to show honor to some very special people in our lives. I hope you will join us as this Sunday at 9:00 a.m. as we honor our Graduates and learn how to finish well. Invite a friend!

Discipleship vs. Disciple-Making

In many Christian contexts, the terms discipleship and disciple-making are often used interchangeably, yet they carry distinct meanings that shape how believers live out their faith.

Discipleship is the personal journey of following Jesus. It involves spiritual growth, learning Scripture, developing prayer habits, and becoming more like Christ in character and action. Discipleship is inward-focused. It is about who I am becoming as I walk with Christ. It is essential, ongoing, and deeply personal.

Disciple-making, on the other hand, is outward-focused. It is the intentional process of helping others become disciples of Jesus. This includes sharing the gospel, mentoring new believers, and teaching them to obey Christ’s commands. Disciple-making multiplies faith. It moves beyond personal growth to spiritual reproduction.

While discipleship asks, “Am I growing in Christ?” disciple-making asks, “Am I helping others grow in Christ?”

Jesus’ command in the Great Commission was not simply to be disciples, but to make disciples. This means that you are not truly a disciple until you are making disciples.

In short, discipleship is about following, while disciple-making is about leading others to follow. One matures the believer; the other multiplies the mission. Together, they form the full picture of what it means to live as a faithful follower of Christ.

This Sunday, we are going to learn what it means to be a disciple that makes disciples. I hope you will join us at 9:00 AM and invite a friend to come with you.

Hello Bay Family Church!

Restoration is very popular these days. Restoration is the process of returning something to its original condition. People restore furniture, vehicles, and homes. Did you know that God’s heart is always for restoration? He specializes in taken our broken and stained lives, our hurting and struggling families, and our failures and disappointments and not only making it like it used to be but better than ever as we surrender to his purpose and plan. Do you need restoration?

This Sunday at Bay Family Church at 9:00 AM, we will look at God’s process of restoring whatever is broken in our lives. I would love for you to come worship with us and experience all that He is doing at BFC!

See you Sunday!
