“Act like you got some smart now” Proverbs3:13; “ happy is the man that findeth wisdom.”
On the Andy Griffen show there is an episode in which the character Jim Lindsey returns to Mayberry . He portrays he is a big star as a guitar soloist. Andy finds out differently and contacts Bobby Fleet to get Jim back with the band. Before Jim departs with him, Andy gives Jim some words of wisdom:”Act like you got so smart now!!”
This phrase is used to command someone to stop acting foolish and arrogant and use some common sense. Many times we may find ourselves listening to Satan’s schemes and we end up in sin’s snares feeling foolish. Praise God that He doesn’t allow us to stay in pity party mode but tell us “act like you got some smarts now! Proverbs 3:5-7 gives us three biblical principles to avoid Satan’s schemes. “wisdom is found only in God’s truth accompanied by our obedience.“
1. we must DEPEND on God’s promise. verse 5- “trust in the LORD with all thine heart.” Trust means to be helpless face down. It’s a picture of a servant waiting for the master’s command.
2.We must let God DIRECT our path. Verse 6-“ in All thy ways acknowledge Him.” We must keep our eyes and ears open to God’s ways and not detour to our on will.
3. We must DEPART from evil. Verse 7- “fear (put God first) the LORD and depart from evil.”

JESUS hold my hand. Isaiah 41:13;”For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not,I will help the.”
Growing up my parents were insistent on me holding their hands when we crossed busy streets or we were in the sea of humanity at the mall. Why? They wanted me to be safe, they didn’t want me to be scared, but most of all they loved me. In verse 10 of Isaiah 41 we see the grace of God holding our hand and that He feels the same way about His children as my parents did about me.
1. “I am with thee.” God is fearless.
2. “I am thy God.” God’s faithfulness.
3. “I will strengthen thee.” God overcomes our powerless
4.“I will help thee” God helps us when we feel helpless.
5. “I will uphold thee.” God‘s hand is reaching out when we are feeling hopeless.

🎉📚 Back to School Bash! 📚🎉

We had the BEST time at our Back to School Bash! 💙 Even though it was a hot one, that didn’t stop our kiddos from coming out, having fun, and making some great memories! ☀️😎

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to help set up, cook lunches, serve, and make this day so special. We couldn’t have done it without you! ❤️

And a big shoutout to all of our amazing kiddos who came and brought so much joy and energy! 🥳 We are so thankful for the opportunity to fellowship together, laugh together, and kick off another school year as a church family.

What a fun day of fellowship, food, and making memories! 💙🙏📚
